scooter--> i will never stop to learn
i supress the llateral cokptit to replace there by very big booster, and add too a cockptitunder wings.
I show you later this update
11-15-2004, 08:25 AM
screwfighter is finish.
texture are a mix of bitmap and 3dtexture nodes
i begin this new model in the last week.
i use lot of curve to define surfaces and convert to polygon.
12-05-2004, 06:51 PM
your textured ship looks awsome! great! no crits at all:thumbsup: the new shpie also looks promising. I'll be waiting for more updates.
the lateral drop ship machine gun is realise with subD ( mental ray can not render non-quadrical poly ...... haaaaaaa )
12-07-2004, 07:59 AM
Whaouw... your is model without textures is oustanding my friend... a great piece for me...
I like too your ScrewFighter... these textures are very original... and especially that of the cockpit...
Vas-y mec... ça kill :D more more more...
12-07-2004, 09:50 AM
Tha fighter is awesome and both ships are very unique style i really like them
texture is great really like also and the details
keep it up
lemog--> what do u want to say with this :"and especially that of the cockpit". i have always problem to create good glass... i don't understand why:shrug: ( if you remenber, i have this problem for mini glasses)
i'm happy that you like the CrapotoShip ( it's my "colloc" which name like this)... i beginned my modeling with the frame :).
12-07-2004, 11:18 AM
lemog--> what do u want to say with this :"and especially that of the cockpit". i have always problem to create good glass... i don't understand why:shrug: Je voulais simplement dire que je trouvais le shader utilisé très original... j'aime beaucoup... c'est un engin futuriste, donc, pas besoin que cela soit semblable à une quelconque reference connue.
I want to simply say that the uased shader is true original and agree me a lot... It's a futuristic ship... that's not necessary that it seem to something I've seen. Anyway, that's surely a coat to protect of solar rays...
ok thx lemog , as you say it's a futuristic ship, for real glass i search next time
12-07-2004, 11:52 AM
For me it works very good, now I'm waiting for the next textured ship. Can you tall me how you reached thos style of rendering? I mean semi-drawing and semi-realistic? i like it a lot:thumbsup:
12-07-2004, 12:56 PM
Just stopping by to say nice job and well done, nice details and a good solid plan.........Keep it up Christophe, your efforts are apparent and the results are very good ones..........:arteest:

Very nice ship model. Great texturing detail. I love the radiosity and lighting effects. The surfacing has a rich warm feeling to it. Excellent work! More please!
thx for your word
and ||) |V| |^| (???) thx for official theme:thumbsup:
arturro--> i use final gattering and hdri and i'm not drawing texture, its complex shading network of procedural textures exept for the bump.the effect which you describe come from the color texture but its the first like this. if i can remake with aanother model and texture i explain more... :)
12-11-2004, 02:18 PM
I love your ship ;)

12-13-2004, 09:09 AM
mmmmh... I like your textured ship... good apdate man... just one texture don't agree me... the one of the legs seem a bit worse... but the rest is perfect for me...
Keep it up Krapoto Bastafouit
12-13-2004, 01:22 PM
I agree, the legs look a bit not as well textured compared to the rest of your ship. The rest is all good!
i create this litle ship to add life in final scene
thx for c&c, i correct them for final render
12-19-2004, 10:17 PM
I take it you were referring to the theme song for my submission.. I am glad you like it. I am very much liking the work you have produced for your submission. I cannot wait to see how the rest develops. Good job and keep at it.
another picture to show you the color map of my texture
i do not paint this color map. it' s a blending of different parametric texture which are blended by gray map what i create...
i begin my litghtning test in the Spatial Base model
c n c are welcome
12-21-2004, 06:20 AM
Good job so far. Perhaps try breaking the metal texture map up some with some horizontal distortions. Maybe a box or something in the wall. Hatch etc.. Otherwise looking really good.
12-21-2004, 08:22 AM
Wow I really like the texture of the big ship. :bounce:
12-21-2004, 08:26 AM
It's very beautifull :)
It remains me "La caste des méta baron" ;)

12-21-2004, 08:44 AM
Hard worker here Glim... I find the look of your new ship very interesting... and very original... I like that.
The lighting test give us a beautiful way... but I think that's too dark to understand easily the action...
Courage to you my friend
12-21-2004, 08:52 AM
Just coming by to say your doing a fine job,and to give you extra boost in getting this done as you have planned Christophe.......I like your energy and work ethic, and your art shows it.looking nice and overall this is turning out quite nicely as a Space opera....Keep up the nice work and effort here.......:arteest: :arteest:
12-21-2004, 09:39 AM
Looks good! I love the lighting of the scene, and also the ship! Only the walls looks a bit sad... maybe you can put some better dirt with alphamaps on it!
i add somme details and increase light intensity
thx for comments and "extra boost"
12-28-2004, 01:03 PM
Thats some good extra intensity Glim......But i think even more can be added, softer lights, they will give off just enough for your objects, but will still keep a nice mood.......Your models are nice,i think extra attention with lighting on them would be a good idea.......in other words, better lighting or direct soft lighting on your main objects.......
......I like your entry,I hope to see more when possible Christophe......Until than, best of luck to you......:arteest:

but it was a very good experience and today is day of debriefing
what i learn
create a big scene
what the utility to back textures
to economise poly to add more details:rolleyes: ( i reduce my architecturale of 50% poly )
create a complexe illumation setup
more and more ...
for all, thx all my friends,
Alors merci ...
