They are here...

aiTOR

excuse me English :-)

My image will be placed in the middle of a great battle, like in any epic history.

They have come and we must fight.

The initial Sketch is a part of the whole final composition. It is realized drawing directly with a graphic tablet.

In close day I will continue raising things and explaining the process.

Thanks for all :-)

aiTOR

Hello Borro, the first Sketch is only a part of the final composition, always I begin with simply primitives and then I work hard in the final image:-)

Thank you very much

This is a sketch that shows a part of the enemy, they are very manageable and destructive ships. The first ones come and the last ones go away :-)

Small problems with the translation, I am sorry to have been late so much in posting the history.

Here it is:

Like in any epic image, in this one also there is a great history behind, is the following one:

For many centuries two civilizations have been fighting to control the planet, the "Toks" and the "Igons". In the last years the conflicts have been more frequent, for the shortage in the reserves of the "Tocks" of "mock" (atomic principal liquid for the control of all the mechanisms of the planet).

The "Igons" with the help of the been afraid "Prats", pirates and mercenaries of the space, very powerful thanks to his been afraid fleet of specializing ships.

The "Igons" will go to the "lake of acid ", a tremendously dangerous place, the principle site of "Tocks" "mock" production. The "Igons" with the help of the ships pirates penetrate in the subsoil by means of the special conduits that his ships have in its mechanical arms, across which the soldiers infiltrate into the base, to take it.

At the moment is quite for demonstrating, but the strategy is the following one:

The "Igons" will enter the sky of the base of the "lake of acid" in order that the cannons of ions of the "Tocks" get confused, once created the chaos, the ships special pirates will infiltrate into the subsoil special commands that will try to take the control of the base.

who will win?

It is for seeing, everything can happen, which does not fit doubt is of that it will be an epic battle.

Hello again,
For few commentaries that I see, it seems that my work is not pleasing too much... :-(
Well, I hope that as soon as i has it more completed it pleases slightly more.

I still have a lot of work...
Now I am centering in:

1.-To give more details to the buildings.
2.-To give more detail to the ship of the "prats"
3.-To do another ship, this smaller and with more cannons of ions.
4.-To do the surroundings of the scene, auxiliary structures and metal mountains.
5.-To do the liquid of the lake most realistic.
6.-To do a turbid sky and with heavy atmosphere.
7.-To create: shots, engines, explosions ... convincing.
8. Etc...

All the commentaries are welcome.

Good depth to the design aiTOR. Nothing says cool like a massive gun in downtown.:D

Although I like the concept of the cityscape and weapon, the attack prat ships don't do much for me for some reason. Probably a personal preference.

Keep up the good work!

Aitor, very good effort, i like this modeling prcess i recommend you add more details to the buildings around the cannon. the idea of that commandoes going inside is so nice one, but how can we see it with 3d if it exists, don't model anything you will not show or won't have effect on your scene (Theory:scream: ).
good luck, this is good work.:)

aiTOR
10 October 2004, 09:37 AM
Thank you for all your comments.

uuuum! You are in the certain thing Designer2, an option would be to do the arm of the ship transparent in order that one sees the whole mechanism ..., do not convince me very much ... another option would be to show a section of the ground in order that one sees the process of insertion of marines.

Well, I will centre on it on the next days

Thank you very much

Aitor, I took a look at your web site and you certainly have a unique and delightful style. I hadn't had a chance to go through the progress on your Space Opera thread until this evening, but I think agree that the perspective shot -- looking from ground level up towards the ship as it's depositing troops -- is an excellent approach and one that really shows off the ship to best effect. I know you're reluctant to show the inner workings of the "arms," but I really think you need to somehow convey that the arms are much lighter (essentially hollow) than they look, as otherwise the impression one gets is that the ship couldn't possibly fly, as the arms would completely throw off the balance. Imagine, if you will, a helicopter weighted down with two huge appendages jutting forward, and you'll have some idea as to how this appears to the casual observer: unwieldy at best.

One quick question: is the acid water supposed to act as a protective moat around the laser canon? Otherwise, I can't fathom building the structure in such a location.

Well, keep posting and I will check in to see how things are going for you! Best of luck!

aiTOR
10 October 2004, 06:30 AM
Thank you very much for your commentaries, I am glad much of that you like my works:-)

yesterday i forgot to uploading an image that shows it a bit clearer. The way of flight (though not very conventional) it bconsists of a few engines that it has in the low part, in the knob and in the paunch, which they compensate the weight. It seems to a model of plane of the Nowaday, i dont know what model of combat flight is, that lands turning the engines.

The lake of acid is chance, is harmful, but not so much like to destroy structures. The only thing that it avoids is that they avenge troops of infantry. It is harmful for the persons.

I am sorry to express so badly, hope that you me have understood something.

I have thought to show to the action of insertion of soldiers - commandos in a gallery.

The idea for the contest is, to make a vertical image that shows the action in different levels, from the subsoil to the sky.

Aitor, I think that your designs are very good, and I like a lot your models and ideas, just a comment about the composition, I think you are showing too much sky, I would focus the attention to what is happening at ground level...
is all the bottom part (ground) going to be acid water? or just earth? the idea of making it all water looks good to me, that way you can show your underground action better
 good luck

Hello Virtuoso!

Thank you for your commentaries

Still I have not decided the final image, i am making the small elements join then separately everything. Now I am shaping the small ships, the metal mountains and doing experiments to do a few credible clouds but simultaneously gracefully graphical.

Also I want to add acid rain..., how much work! :)

I have seen your work and it is really original, I like much. Especially this texture like plastic ... I want to see it texturized :bounce:

Although my image is not provoking the minimum interest and I am a little discouraged, I have decided that I am going to follow the project until the end. :banghead:

I believe that still I can contribute something to the competition, and thus I am going it to do. It is certain that I do not have long free time to invest in the image, but I am making a
maximum force.

I thank for much your commentaries.

WOW! you've made a lot of good progress since I last visited this thread!
You did a good job with the little ship and the palace, maybe I would smooth a bit some parts of the palace, but just if that's going to show up in the final image...I don't know what size will it be at the end...
Don't worry about the lack of replies, there are a lot of entries in the challenge and they run quickly off the bottom of the main page, and sometimes getting no comments means that nobody has crits and is happy with it... I usually only post in a thread when I have something more to say than "oooh great!" all the time...
good luck with it!

Muy buenas elmasfeo,

I am going to bevel something the vertices of the palace, but not excessively, since it is not going to be very near of camera. But also I have to say that i like the vectorial aspect of the building with straight angles :-)

I hope to update post in just a short time.

see you :-)
