A quick sketch and colour for my concept of a group of abductees rebelling from slavery on another planet and winning freedom.

Refinement..
Its going to be set on a volcanic moon with crystals.
the idea is that the slaves have rebelled against the masters forcing them to mine the crystals..
It gives me a chance to use caustic renders with the crystals and use particle effects for the volcano

This is a quick model I threw togeather so I could see how it would rig and skin.
The Aim and Pin constraints for the pistons were a B(*&(* but I eventually found a Tutorial on www.3dbuzz.com (http://www.3dbuzz.com) that pointed me in the right direction.

For anyone else who wants to find out how

Piston tutorial

1. create a cylinder
2. move its rotation point towards the outer end where you want it to pivot
3. repeat step 1 & 2
4. create a locator, move it to the pivot of cylinder 1
5. create a locator, move it to the pivot of cylinder 2
6. select locator 1, Shift select cylinder 1
7. in the Animation menu select Constrain->Point
8. select locator 2, Shift select cylinder 2
9. in the Animation menu select Constrain->Point
10. select locator 1, Shift select cylinder 2
11. in the Animation menu select Constrain->Aim
12. select locator 2, Shift select cylinder 1
13. in the Animation menu select Constrain->Aim

Now where ever you move the locator both cylinders will be aligned... and if you give the locator a parent you can simulate a piston driven device

Ok this was esier than I thaught it was going to be... I just created a 5 sided cylinder scaled it, grabbed its middle vert to create a point and duplicated and Booled to my hearts content :)

Interesting idea.
Are you going for more of a dramatic scene or a more humorous scene? Right now it looks like a dramatic scene, but I think a more humorous scene might a bit more "unique" (your call, though)

Im thinking of adding a cow in the back ground :)

As for the humor Ill probably arrange some in the background battle, when your dealing with the abduction theory how can you not :D

He he, This is the first comic scene in the contest I`ve founded. Am I right? It`s a comic one? As for the cow, indeed this is a funny idea.

Its going to be comic ... I just need to decide if its going to be the human or the cow thats giving an alien the anal probe
