I am working on building an interesting sewer system and would like your feedback on improving it and making it more interesting, here are some of my ideas thus far:

Kind of dark down inyour sewers! ;-)
Two things that stood out as missing or that look incorrect. (1) the 90 degree bends in the last renders - pipe bends don't look like that - they are either fairly smooth curves ir are made up of atleast three segments.
(2) You need to add some kind of mounting brackets every so often - made of a different material than your pipes. The way you have them now, and you may not be fnished, the pipes would just fall down - no support to hold them in those positions. Good lick.

It looks like you have a flash-light type setup going for lighting. What might help with the lighting could be a row of dim orangy incandescent bulb lights and green hallogen linear lights. With a short falloff and those grimey cages around them. Every so often there could be a burnt out bulb.
Maybe that would fit with your concept, or not.

I agree about some brackets, and you can use procedurals on the pipes, it will save you time. If you like ideas, how about littering the place with all kinds of shit...feces from people's houses, sewage, even a rotten cadavre or two :thumbsup: ... If anything great modeling.

Thanks for you feedback everyone, I really appreciate it. oh sorry if some of the pictures are to dark, I rendered some of them on my laptop and when I work at home, I run dual monitors from it and noticed that on the crt there are really dark. In the future I am going to check all of my images on my crt before I post them.
I also have some elbow joints with round corners, I will use them too, but so far i have choosen to use the more angular ones. I kinda like how they look. The sewer is for a city that is in the future, and I thought that it looked a little more futuristic with the more angular joints.
I will most likely build a room with some older arcitecture in it, to show that this sewer has been in use for a long time, and i think that will be a suitable place for the rounded joints.
I have thought about mounting brackets, but have not modelled them yet. i will do that soon though so that it doesnt looks like everything is magically floating in place.
Yes, i like your idea, and i think that I can make it fix my concept. You see in the bottom image where the pipes run into the walls. I am going to model a little vent for them to be shooting of into and I want some light oozing out of it.
Also, I think that I will now put vents running along the slanted part of the wall near the floor and puts some lights behind them also. I think that it will make it more atmospheric.
Hey whats up?? I am doing good, just busy with school, and trying to get projects done that arent part of my school life:) Like this one..
I want to change the center of the room a little so that there is a channel running down the middle for water to flow down. I will be making all of the pipes rusted and corrosive and think that it is a good idea to put some just in there also. When I get the shape of the rooms finalized I will start adding in these smaller details.

I do love the sewers, can't wait to see it done. I am still in school as well, doing projects that are not school related, Agent Rayder is one of them...
