Quick Open Canvas sketch...

I must say that I have learned (IMO) a good amount from WPEs some of you guys have shared. Though I didn't have the time to make anything better nor fancier, I really do appreciate it! Thanks!

just a quick one...half hour in PS7...lots of really nice work, in fact, I like aspects of all of them...

Vitriolic - another great one, you have a knack (or hard-won skill) for colour
TX_Snakebyte - nice...classic concept, liked the plug
Kvaalen - good pose, for some reason the right hand really impresses me
Augustus - very cool, you make some tough anatomy look easy there
NancyJo - very in-your-face kind of style, I like the idea
jizzypop - LOL, I did NOT see that coming..hilarious, and very well executed
Sampo - very odd technique, but I think you kept it unified, must have been tough
S-Designs - nice light, I keep trying for that kind of feel and ending up with soft grads
XP-58 - I like the idea, nice legs too
Ahmed-3d - I like your laptop- that is a style unto itself.
shaddix - the cool blue palette
Novacaine - shes a cutie all right, the crossed feet make a big difference somehow.
Robin - great colour, very bold choices in the hair
FridayEve - sorry dude...busted link right now.
SteveV - That is very that from ref? i really like the monochrome effect.

10-21-2004, 09:01 AM
It's from photo refs gem, she really has that mono look as her style.

jizzypop: That's pretty much exactly the same idea I had and I was about 6 hours into mine (yeah yeah, not a sketch anymore) when Painter 7 just blinked off my screen. I didn't save my file a once at any point so I lost the whole thing. I kinda went the Wizard of Oz route and gave her ruby slippers, silly socks, and a basket on the front of the scooter. I stayed up until 5 a.m. working on that and was almost finished (just had to do the lettering) when it happened. I almost threw my computer out the window. Let this be a lesson everyone... ...SAVE YOUR WORK. SAVE CONSTANTLY. SAVE WHAT YOU'RE DOING RIGHT NOW, YOU COULD LOSE IT FOREVER!!! (*runs away laughing madly*)

10-21-2004, 09:20 PM
Xantham Gum - I almost did that same thing, but with a witch flying her broom in front of the sign! Good job!
