Fantastic concepts kjc! What's the premise behind them? I love the misty cloudy look.

Can you describe what's going to happen?

Your composition gives has weight to it I like it. The red color scheme is intersting, is this a "lava" planet??

What if any are you plainning to be the inhabitants of this world?

Hi - thanks.

I wasn't really thinking of any structured premise when I began this, I just dabbed some colour down and started mixing what I thought complimented eachother. It kinda evolved into the idea of an organic structure, electrically charged with an outreaching root system like that of a tree.

Now that you have me looking at the premise more thoughtfully, I'm thinking that there's some sort of endemic fuel source embedded deep in the chasm of the structure. The inhabitants of this planet utilise this to operate their technological infrastructure.

An external civilisation has begun an invasion to seize this high yielding energy source. Their powerfull battalion of ships are on the cusp of overwhelming the defending natives who's annihilation seems immanent ... but our planet wields a secret.
