10 October 2004, 05:43 PM
Interesting approach you have.

10 October 2004, 06:46 PM

10 October 2004, 01:07 PM (

another coloring update

10 October 2004, 01:13 PM (

added some cockpit element and stuff...
still much to do...

10 October 2004, 04:45 PM
The green on the digits isn't "digital" IMO.

10 October 2004, 05:20 PM
that piece evolves very well! cant wait to see the whole piece with the cool lighting you use in your pics!

who said it's digit??? :scream: I'm not an expert but it's for sure the upcoming milf-display technologie amoe is using with his spaceship!

10 October 2004, 05:34 PM
Great work,..maybe you could enhance the facial expression...I think that could give more "motion" feeling with the big cruiser which is coming behind...just a suggest of course.
Very good work on lights and texture.

10 October 2004, 06:17 PM (

thanx again guys.. i hope the green is now green enough hehehe

not sure how much i can change the expression. i ll play around a bit with it ;)

10 October 2004, 07:08 PM
Yo! Your stuff is really coming along. I love your coloring and added detail. Your work in progress is very awesome too. I'm learning a couple of things new already looking at them. From where you lit her already, it looks like there could be some soft lighting on her right. You could add some green bounce light from the screens onto more objects in the scene since it is already showing on her helmet. However these are just little things I thought could help. Your stuff is awesome and keep us all up to date! I can't wait to see a tutorial from you. Looks promising!

10 October 2004, 08:34 PM

I want these displays!!! Amazing, Amoe. Once again. Your work is getting more and more realistic and detailed.
Will you paint a setting around the pilot? Or just the background? Can't wait for the finished piece ...

10 October 2004, 08:38 PM
Stunning amount of detail in this- everything seems perfect, right down to the lighting and colors!
I'll keep my eyes on this- is there anymore to the drawing?

10 October 2004, 08:50 PM (

thanx alot again for your comments & crits :)

i just made this step to show you what i ve planned for the background. i guess something like this could be cool.

10 October 2004, 09:24 PM
wooha! this background literally blasts the picture to a whole new level!

10 October 2004, 10:22 PM that is looking great. So much so quick no crits here

10 October 2004, 10:47 PM
Cool! You're getting there, man! I think you should think about the highlighting of the glass though (like i told you earlier). Maybe add some more reflections to the glass as well.

I'll be watching you! :P

10 October 2004, 11:07 PM
Wow, you are really speeding through this challenge. :) Great colouring, it is starting to feel very nice.

11 November 2004, 01:46 PM (

finally an update. i didn t have much time to paint last weekend.

11 November 2004, 03:02 PM
hey amoe. I think you did a considerable piece of art. What i like most of all the stuff you did in the past and of course within this one, is the clean style. The great amount of details and the balance of colors make this one surely competitiv.

11 November 2004, 03:08 PM
what the hell dude? you sure aint wasting any time. and this is with photoshop (im just going by your previous work)? holy carp! or crap, even! man, i need to not be a student...

keep going, not that i can image what else you can do...

11 November 2004, 05:20 PM
wow...this is truly awesome method, real painterly feel, i love the style A LOT:bounce:

11 November 2004, 05:32 PM
This is coming along truly fabulous!!! i cannot imagine the next level you will achieve with new updates!

keep it on!

11 November 2004, 08:06 PM
I cant really point out anything constructive about it. Its coming out fantastically- I already commented on the pilot and fighter, but the background alone looks awesome too.

11 November 2004, 08:17 PM
Echoing other views -it's great but feels as though you are in too tight on pilot so doesn't feel epic enough.

11 November 2004, 09:47 PM
nice fireworks! is this new design part of the pilot's ship or another? good job anyways!

11 November 2004, 11:16 PM
Great to see your process. I was also wonderring is that explosion coming from the wing of her ship or another craft?

11 November 2004, 02:13 AM
amoe: GREAT IMAGE! only thing I can see ....the hand, it seems a little too passive. I would imagine the hands fingers spread a bit and the fingers tensed. Just a thought. :)

11 November 2004, 10:26 AM
thanx alot for you comments! :)

screamingwing + igino + riki: it s meant to be another ship in the background. maybe i ll make the canvas a bit bigger so i have more space one the left right and top to make this more clear. also i ll try to add some more spaceships to show that there is really big battle going on ;) just wait for the next update.

element: you could be right about the hand. another point for my to do list ;)

good thing that we have so much time for that contest :D

11 November 2004, 11:31 AM
fast and great ! amazing work . keep up . I like the background.

12 December 2004, 10:40 AM
Just a thought you fabulously skilled man!
I was thinking while watching your work and for some reason unknown to me and this came to me: make it so that the glass of the ship (where the pretty pilot is) bends the picture behind it. Just a little, but so that is noticeable if you look for detail. You know glass bends light at a slight degree.

This work is magnificent dude.
Rock on!

That would be a fabulous detail.
This is a great piece.

I can't believe you worked foreground to background on this!!

So I guess you do not have free time on your hands at this moment.
