ok idea 1 this has been circling in my head for a while now:

A civilization that begun on a huge planet full of water a long time ago, learned to live with water, learned to stay alive with water. They used the water so much that the planet was drying very rapidly. Less and less water was available, the civilization was dying because of dehydration and wars fought because of water. The race was desperate to survive. The race started to look water under the ground. They had dug kilometers of ground to find water, and finally they found some water - the last drops of water on the planet. The image behind this idea would be the war for the last drop of water.

propably gonna post more ideas soon

Good to see you here, Det. Little doubt you'll blow us out of the water (cough cough). I'm curious, though, what exactly happened to the water? Isn't there that thing called the water cycle, you know, evaporation, condensation, and all that? Where did it all go?

Hey timothyD! :)

The race was not quite advanced, and did not know to look beneath the surface of the planet until desperate of choices. Recently ice was discovered in mars, and they say (NASA says) at some point, liquid water has flowed in mars, and that there could be vast stores of water beneath the surface of mars.

Cheers, and as you wish-

So as the race begun on a planet quite full of water, it was their main resource, so in time they grew huge bellies. And their usually quite full of water (damn that belly must juggle if they jump around!)
