View Full Version : boot up with 2 OS

Hey People. :-)

You know, when you have at least 2 operating systems installed (windows xp and windows 2000 for instance) When you boot up there's a list of OS to choose from with a countdown. And so you you have that time to choose which to boot into, or otherwise when countdown is finished it'll just boot in to the 1st selected OS? Well, I remember a while ago I was somehow able to edit that boot file and specify how long the countdown is and stuff. I can't find it again. Any idea where that file would be and how can I edit how long the countdown is?

Boot.ini is where you can find all that stuff..

Also you can open up msconfig and see it all listed there as well..

A graphical solution would be:

Right Click on "My Computer" -> Properties -> Advanced -> Boot and Recovery (or something similar...)

Hope it helps.
