View Full Version : 'ubernurbs' and 'bones' help!

I wonder if anyone here uses ElectricImage software? (So far I've only seen Maya, max and LW users here...)

I am having the hardest time rigging my single-mesh characters for animation. After modeling them (with ubernurbs) and importing them into the animator, I give them a 'bones' skeleton. The problem comes when I parent the skeleton to the mesh. If the envelope is too big, it will affect the whole mesh. If it is too small, it will horribly deform the arm I'm trying to move.

I've tried EVERYTHING... and so far I've had no luck.
Any takers???? I havw a few meshes who are just dying to come to life.
