It's the forest troll raiding your fridge. Nothing to worry about. Have never heard the expression before so I hope I got it more or less right.

30-40 min/Photoshop/Mouse

10-05-2004, 02:08 PM
don't ask me what's going on here, I honestly don't know. Free beer for the one with the best suggestion

1.15 H | PS

Zem: good one, I too never heard of it before.

10-05-2004, 02:26 PM
Garma thats easy:
The path splits ahead, though both look harmless only one will lead you out.

10-05-2004, 02:38 PM
Garma those are the lungs of a smoker :)
Looks much nicer than I'd imagined though...

Zem, you Swedish people have a troll for everything :D

10-05-2004, 02:42 PM
Garma thats easy:

Actually, they are Jenny's denim-clad thighs. With no light to see by she tripped over Spot, the family's tabby cat, and fell to her knees with a loud *bump*.

10-05-2004, 02:48 PM
Art2: Yeah, they are so easy to blame for everything. "The troll did it, the troll did it."

Garma: To me it's clear that it is the nocturnal man-eating boulders of the forest of fear, deep in the land of Flub, that are coming down from the trees to feed on campers. Obviously!

10-05-2004, 02:55 PM
Tish and pish all of you...

Garma's picture is clearly a close-up of the eyes of a particularly bemused forest troll after he's had a bit too much mead at the "creatures of the wood" Xmas party...

10-05-2004, 03:11 PM

50 minutes, Photoshop + Wacom

"Things that go bump in the night" are those mysterious sounds you hear in the dark that get your imagination going. Perhaps a big furry monster or the ghost of a pirate looking for the scurvy dog what stole his treasure. Arrrrr!

10-05-2004, 03:58 PM
Here goes... Painter IX - 20 minutes

10-05-2004, 05:15 PM
1 hour and a half. Whew! probably could have done it faster with out distractions.

The shadow team is what goes bump in the night, the raid your house at night looking for msicheavious shadows that run amuck at night. They are the protectors of the light assigned by ancient gods to keep balance between light and dark.

10-05-2004, 05:15 PM
This took me far too long (3-4hours) PS and Mouse.

10-05-2004, 06:46 PM

WOW! Today there are a lot of entries, and they are all amazing! congratulations all of you

I'm getting used to opencanvas, except for the layer thing I think it's a great program (for the moment I do everything in just 1 layer) , well, here is mine, I had a lot of fun doing it
OpenCanvas1.1, 1:15h

here is the wpe (http://gaitasfritas.250free.com/bump.wpe)
I know that letters suck, but I didnt know what to do with that empty space... and maybe it's not clear, but that little white thing is supposed to be a bed with a guy sleeping inside

10-06-2004, 01:18 PM
Whoa elmasfeo, that's pretty much my worst nightmare...! Nice one!

Some great entries here today

Here's mine... the little rascal...

Crikey supervlieg, I know someone that's actually slept with her...

10-06-2004, 01:33 PM
eldee - thanx a lot! I played with pastels a little and I think I'll try a soft pastel pencil for a while.

KeepItEvill - scary one. You now, I going home through park every night - it's bushy, dark and probably full of squirels, and now I'm scared :)
digital bobert - nice pic, it's remind me some anime, "The cat returns" probably.

10-09-2004, 09:09 AM

((it's been SO long since i've had a mere few hrs for these... art school started... i'm hopin' to squeeze in a few sketches a week! anyhow...))

PS - couple hrs

This is so not funny. You really wouldn't want to see this happen to any kid. Unless you're the CIA....
Believe you me, when somebody annoyes or judges me my mind gets more evil than the devil himself. Or maybe second to him, but even then I probably wouldn't want to see something like this.
You wouldn't want this to happen to any kid you know....

Congratulations: you've made something I find extremely sick, which really isn't easy....
