Humm, a wire would be helpful. But it looks like you need to work on your anatomy. His jaw is perfectly straight and the lines on his face are sharp and angular. What program are you using? Your main problem maybe with how he is sub-divided.

Study drawing
Study Anatomy-go to the library. Check out whatever books they have.
Study Edgeloops-go to the modeling forum. Examine the facial topology thread.
Study other people's meshes-look in the WIP and completed works forums. Examine the excellent models. Compare theirs and yours. Examine how they localize detail, how they represent facial features, and how they keep their meshes clean.

A face is not square.
It is not flat
Even orc faces are based off of human faces, so a good knowledge of human anatomy is a must.

My biggest concern here is the skin texture. Seems very plastic like to me. I do agree the head is a little square shaped and needs to be a bit more rounded. The wrinkles in the skin can clearly be seen upclose, but the pic that is farther away the skin looks totally smooth and plastic like.

Goon: Yeah im gonna give up on this for a while and im gonna read some books and stuff and just learn a little bit more about what im doing

talith: yeah the one in the scene looks plastic because it wouldnt render with a Bump map but when the scene was taken away it instantly worked perfect (was on ma old computer)

Thanks for replying guys

OK! I said I wasnt gonna do anything more until I did I bit more study but I got bored and decided just to do one more render and make a few small improvments not much better but I like it a lot better than the first one I put up

Just to clarify some things the red little fire fly type things are like an aura that surrounds him and the blocks in the background of buildings the idea is that he is about to burn them or attack them or somthing to that effect hence why his eyes are glowing

they are glowing with the lust for war...
