View Full Version : Wire Frame Rendering

I need to render out my model in wireframe. i am told there are some cool shaders that will do this. i was wondering if anyone could direct me towards one of the kinds of shaders. thanks alot

Well, If you are in max, you can turn on wire rendering on the Material Editor, just select your material and check the Wire checkbox (at the shader basic parameters), then your object will be rendered with the material applied only in the wire and with it's faces hide. well i am actualy using maya but i do know how to hardware render. i have heard of shaders that render your wireframes as tubes and cool things like that. so i guess i was wondering if anyone new of any of these.

if you want a real wire theres a mel script which turns
edges or isoparms in tubes
be careful with high poly stuff

Read my tutorial!

It shows you how to render wireframes in Maya without using any scripts etc

And it doesn't render with backface wires.
