What is the best dual monitor support video card out there right now? I'm looking for something to play games on and also do work. Thanks

You don't actually need a dual monitor out video card to use two monitors. If you have an old video card that will fit in your machine you can plug it in and hook a monitor up to that. example: an old PCI card and a snazzy new AGP vid card combo works well, the extra screen space is heaven.

I guess you could even get three monitors running if you had three video cards.

hercules ati radeon 8500le 128mb. just got it for $99. it's a bit slower than the regular 8500 but it gets the job done. it has a main analog connector as well as a dvi connector. you can get a dvi to analog convertor and hook up a second monitor to it.

i use the card for 3dsmax as well as games on my dual pentium 3 500mhz (i know, it's an archaic system), and it runs perfect.

if you want to spend more money, get the leadtek geforce4 ti 4600 128mb. it also has dual outputs and is about 20% faster than the 8500le. however it costs about $280 and up.
