Hi. this is a method that is used im many films. Tweaking with various settings could create an extremely realistic results! This tutorial is for 3D Max but can be applied on all softwares out there in a very similar way. i myself figured out this a few years ago when ppl used to make fire from 3d spheres. :thumbsup: enjoy!!! :bounce:

first you create a particle system:

you apply these setting with an ampthesys on facing particles:

You open the material editor and choose opacity

You create a gradiant or gradiant ramp (for more control) and choose radial:

You assign the colors. and open the extended parameters tab choose out> additive
and set the value to 100 (this can vary according to your purpose):

Go to Create>Space Warps>Forces>Gravity and choose Spherical.
Create the space warp above the particles system and bind them togather:

Now all that's left is to let he Pyroman within you get loose and control the fire. here is some examples of my early works with it:

on the last image what type of glow settings did you us..could you provide a scene file to go with the tutorial thanks again
