View Full Version : Mystery-gons (errors)

So is anyone else getting these "Mystery-gons" in objects? They basically amount to 3-point polys that appear at random and stretch off into space. They don't actually exist within the model, but they show up fairly regularly. They disappear in the gooch shader mode, but all of the wireframe modes display the artifact consistently from any angle.


I'm using a Mac, OSX.3 with the Radeon 9800 FX/256mb

It's a bug in Apple's driver. The same thing happens in Maya. They have it a fix, so we're just waiting on them to release it.

Thanks, Eric. It hasn't hampered my working at all because I can flip shader modes and just sort of work around it. Hopefully Apple will be on the stick with this.

Okay okay, let me have my little delusions :D
