View Full Version : Animation: Emotional Problems

Just found out today that the deadline for this round of the 10 second club was extended one month, so I still have some extra time to tweak my entry. Anyway, here's it:

The filesize is around 900 Kb, I don't think it needs any codecs outside a regular quicktime install (for windows, that's where I tried it), so I guess nobody should have a problem with it. I also have an MPEG1 version at work in case anyone prefers to see it that way.

Rip it apart and show no mercy... I can take it!!!

Looks great. Good concept.

Here's the crits:
When he says "He's fragile.. He's very fragile", the animation conveys too much anger. It doesn't match the voice clip. Try to go for a more "pity" expression. Like when he says "fragile", instread of having his arms swing violently, make them express "fragileness". Like some soft motions with easy out curves.

Also, the other alien dude in the back, when he says "you mean...beyond pasifism?" I need more of a puzzled look on his face. Remember, he's confused by the initial statement.

Fix those IMO and it's gold! Good luck.

Never attempted facial animations so take my advice with a grain of salt. The last animation I did is here:
shameless plug (
