View Full Version : Modo/LW Layout problem

Hi guys, came accross a strange problem today. I quickly modeled an ipod mini in modo(dont worry about the segmentation :) )and went for a test notice that the render mesh isn't complete at the bottom, but is complete in modo and in modeler/layout.

When I render, that band of polys are missing. Enabling double sided polys creates a black line.

The object isnt using sub patches and both poly normals at the bottom face out.

Any ideas??

I've seen this caused sometimes by non-merged points and/or overlapping polygons. Did you check those two already?

I think your on to something there Para :). I checked it with a lightwave native render...not fprime, and the problem wasnt there...I remember fprime struggles on 1 or 2 points, so there must be something i've missed..

Well, I just trippled all the polys in the problem area, and all is sorted. Thx ! :thumbsup:
