Posted this qu. on xsibase, 93 have viewed it so far, and knowone has answered!

The qu. was:

"Several qu's really regarding fractal patterns and animation in XSI.

From a 3ds Max point of view, to animate fractal patterns, (noise, whether the modifier, material, or fog properties for example) there is always a 'Phase' option which can be animated to create movement by interpolating between different seeds. E.g. moving water. How so in XSI?

Can you animate the randomise deformer for example, or the smoke property of a volumetric light?

Also, how do you break up the uniformity of fog in XSI? If I add the Fog Output shader from the Render menu, always, flat, with no horizon noise. Again, this goes back to my Max experience where you would simply select the 'Noise' option for fog.

Cheers in advance for any help that can be offered."
