Why delete it? did you solve it? It's something that's been bugging the crap outta me for a while now..... PM me if you like.... :)

sorry, I should have left it then, just thought it may be specific to the versions I was demoing on.

My solution was to use a paint fxop as input instead of file input fxop.
It seems to be stable although I suspect the code for that part is very similar and cannot see why it would be.
(For these types off effects I've resorted going back to Halos wonderful tima filter anyway, but perhaps there's a way to replicate it in XSI without making a UFO.)
