09 September 2004, 04:17 PM

This is simply stunning, the rich and vibrant colors are perfect as is the character pose. There really is some amazing work coming out of China.

My only crit would be that the top of her hair seems a little too sharp against the soft background, personally I would blend it a little more.

Nonetheless, breathtaking.

09 September 2004, 08:18 PM
and I'm in love...again

09 September 2004, 08:50 PM
if this is based on sketch, then i suppose it's time i quit my job :bounce:

09 September 2004, 09:32 PM
fu**ing impressive, looks so good man :bounce:

09 September 2004, 10:50 PM
Great work!

No crits :)

09 September 2004, 11:58 PM
@#*$!! Look what you just did! You made me drool...

09 September 2004, 12:17 AM
The texture on the log and scattered leaves on the ground are simply unbelievable, (hand done too!) the branch and her leaves that is cover her feet helps give the picture a sense of depth, keeping them just out of focus was simple WOW!

I think you cheated, tell the truth you did use magic right. You can tell me I won't tell really.

09 September 2004, 12:29 AM
If it`s only painting then It`s very cool work!
I love it!:)

09 September 2004, 03:20 AM
I'll add another wow! Good stuff. THe only thing i didn't like is how you covered her feet.

09 September 2004, 04:30 AM

To All:
Thanks, you guys. I'm glad that you like it.

To Lucas:

well, actually, I was a little impatient with the feet work and I took that shortcuts. woops!

09 September 2004, 05:50 AM
What a stunning work! I also noticed that the feet are obscured though, and also that she has no toes.

09 September 2004, 07:57 AM
Great job you ve done, i love especially the ligh that comes from the forest and its reflections on the figure...

09 September 2004, 09:58 AM
Nice job buddy! I want to see more from you..

I would put a little more light on the top of her hair(see attached).. and move the leaves!! don't get rid of them just move it up or down a bit it helps to creating the illusion of depth.

You did all those leaves and left out her beautiful feet!!

beautiful work!

09 September 2004, 10:15 AM
Good work, she looks japanese :)

09 September 2004, 10:26 AM

09 September 2004, 10:31 AM
WOW ... amazing!!! :applause:

09 September 2004, 10:33 AM
Or maybe she looks chinese since its made by a chinese artist.

Anyways its great...
Very nice face. Actually I marvel most at the capture of beauty and cuteness in her face.

I wish I knew a real life version of her.

Great work.

09 September 2004, 10:34 AM
Why do I feel she looks very much like the Hawaiian Hula girl? I must say its a very nice asian looking elf.

09 September 2004, 10:42 AM
Very nice piece, Please post more of your work! :)

09 September 2004, 10:42 AM

I second that.
Absolutely breathtaking, and I would love this as a wallpaper.

09 September 2004, 11:52 AM

09 September 2004, 01:05 PM
Fine drawing and colours with nice mood.........

09 September 2004, 01:17 PM
This is most impressive, I'm still hard pressed to believe that Photoshop could allow someone to make it, but here it is, right on my screen to tell me as such. Very impressive, I'd point out quirks, but I assume that by the time I got here it was already pointed out to you and dealt with in the revised final. Anyway, very good work you've got here.

09 September 2004, 01:27 PM
Is this a paint over? if I'm mistaken then i apologize in advance.

And why is the foot not finished and replaced with an out of focus bunch of leaves?

09 September 2004, 01:38 PM
damn... amazing  love the girl, sweet face, and nice colors :)

09 September 2004, 01:45 PM
that's beautiful. Good work

09 September 2004, 01:50 PM
It's beautiful.. Felt kinda relaxed while viewing the pic.. My only critique is the leaves around the legs.. The leaves somehow stand out too much compared to the background.. Other than that, it's perfect.. Great job..

09 September 2004, 02:04 PM
Very nice color palette and great drawing! I like the way you painted
the semi-transparent skirt!

09 September 2004, 02:04 PM
Damn she's HOT!!!:scream:

09 September 2004, 02:10 PM
nice girl man...her phone number please???????? :p :p :p

awesome work

09 September 2004, 02:14 PM

Man...VERY VERY nice work!

09 September 2004, 02:18 PM

it's very nice, good job!

 :bounce:

09 September 2004, 02:24 PM
omg  this is amazing work ^_^ she is 1 prity elv girl

09 September 2004, 02:40 PM
Whoah!! kool stuff! keep it up!

09 September 2004, 02:50 PM
I like this a lot d6sence!! Beautiful artistic sence...but I find a bit distracting those volumetric light beams since they look too blur the background too much.

But a great piece of digital art, no doubt on that and really looks good on the front page!!!

09 September 2004, 03:16 PM
What an amazing work!!

You guys are crazy :banghead: :banghead:

09 September 2004, 03:40 PM
Very nice.
I like the detail in the leaves. How many Layers did you have when you were finished?

09 September 2004, 03:48 PM
incredible. I see life in her eyes. Not alot of painting i've seen so far can have this kind of feeling even if the painting is super realistic.

09 September 2004, 05:47 PM
wow! bidimensional work? hard to believe, but true! The environment and character blend so well together, the color work is splendid, and the lady is perfect!

09 September 2004, 05:59 PM
nice image...though it would be stronger if you didnt hide the feet....makes it look like you didnt want to paint them.

09 September 2004, 06:37 PM
Great image!!!
Nice lighting and colours... the pose is good and the character is full of tenderness. One crit: the hands are out of proportion... too big... and with that strong fingers, the delicacy look is broken.

BTW: Do you know how many times her face has appeared in my dreams? :curious:

09 September 2004, 08:18 PM
Great image. My only crit, is that you covered up the feet. I immediately got the feeling you wanted to avoid painting them.

09 September 2004, 08:51 PM
I fear losing my boyfriend to this girl.:D

09 September 2004, 08:56 PM
Enchanting. Sooo beautiful. The bit of foliage covering her feet is a bit strange, though.

09 September 2004, 10:19 PM
 WOW
I'm just dying to see the sketch! Plz share...

09 September 2004, 01:39 AM
:) yes show us the sketch this is a very good peace indeed...

she is very lovely...

09 September 2004, 02:35 AM
good job ,i like the colour very much. wo hen xi huan, hehe

09 September 2004, 02:46 AM
 WOW
I'm just dying to see the sketch! Plz share...YES! I second, third, and fourth that :) I'd really love to see the sketch for it, and possibly some "work in progress" pictures as well.

09 September 2004, 02:48 AM
that is gorgeous...... do u have a higher resolution version? I would loooooooove to see a GIANT version of that... lol. Like... 1280 x 1024.... hehehee... wallpaper...

09 September 2004, 02:53 AM
Very cool, I like the somewhat asian look of this elf, also the ears seem more profound then the LOTR elfs good stuff. Very realistic, I know I just called an elf realistic but it seems true to me

09 September 2004, 04:50 AM
Hi, all

Thank you for your appreciate. You may download the large image (1600 X 1200) from . Enjoy it!

BTW, it is only 80% finished. I'll keep working with it.

09 September 2004, 07:53 AM
great jop:thumbsup:

09 September 2004, 10:00 AM
excellent work ...

09 September 2004, 12:15 PM
Oh man.. only if real women looked like that

09 September 2004, 12:19 PM
Oh and btw - i think the picture will be much cooler if you would make the leaf floating around in the air, filling it up, making it more fantasy like..

09 September 2004, 12:30 PM
Your lighting is very good,
can you model in 3D like this, because animation of this detail level would pay very highly.
If you can draw it you can model it in 3D if you have the patience.

09 September 2004, 01:53 PM
i just wanted to say that this is one of the best artworks i ever seen....great!!

09 September 2004, 03:10 PM
Great work, love the colors, thought it was underwater at first with the blue hues, but realized it was just the colors. Fantastic, keep up the good work !!!

09 September 2004, 03:50 PM
wow!Very beautiful work, A Masterpiece!

09 September 2004, 02:01 PM
You have a beautiful soft touch. The colour is exquisite, and the drawing is great. I think that the attention you have paid to depth of field adds to the work enormously

09 September 2004, 11:58 PM
WOW ... amazing!!! :bounce:

09 September 2004, 10:01 PM
what can i say.,... wow!

09 September 2004, 05:31 PM
Wow simply awesome!

09 September 2004, 06:07 PM
The Render is great with a very interesting look and feel.

I know you cheated with the feet. The blurred leaves in the foreground are distracting when they are alone. Just use more next time for compositional consistency.

Stay Dope! :scream:

I have trouble finding art that stands out on cgtalk because most everything seems to be done so well. This is one that fits that category.

09 September 2004, 07:35 PM
this is kinda silly, but is she's a fairy, then where are the wings?

09 September 2004, 04:32 PM

10 October 2004, 08:49 AM
good job and beautuful girl

10 October 2004, 08:00 AM
Does it have to be an Asian fairy? I would love to see fairies like this in my dream. I enjoy the overall schematic setting in your environment, especially with the blue tone really made the composition standout beautifully. Nicejob Willwang :)

10 October 2004, 12:43 PM
very very very nice

I like her soft skin

10 October 2004, 01:40 PM
Highly suggestive. Plus the colors blend very nicely. Sweet!

11 November 2004, 09:26 PM
The ambience is great. I would like to see some background in the upper center, fog effect (or light) is too strong there.

11 November 2004, 03:14 AM
very nice work , especially the work of my country .
