View Full Version : Delete Layouts

09 September 2004, 02:52 PM

i've created a layout called "4/1" for a special window arrangement.
now i tried to delete that layout but it won't work.

in the dropdown menu for deleting layouts this layout doesn't appear and if i enter the name manually in the textfield the layout is still there ..

any suggestions how to remove it?

also is there a "deselect all" command? i need that for a specific macro.

regards chris

This is what I got when I asked.

layout.delete "NameOfLayout" make sure the quotes are there.

For the selection:
Fire an "escape" command in the macro/script. "select.drop polygon" "select.drop edge" or "select.drop vertex" might give you what you want if you are going after a specific element you want to deselect. The select.drop command will change the selection type to the one you just 'dropped'

Really? It worked for Chris (CG) when he sent that to me. He got bumped from here so he doesn't read the forum too much.

He DID ask what the name of your layout was.

maybe i can delete it from the .cfg file?!

The slash might have been gumming things up....

I created this layout and saved it as "1/4"

I deleted it with no problem. Not sure what was up with your install.

A custom layout has to be selected in order for delete layout to work... So if you have your 4/4 layout selected, you should be able to select layout-delete
