splines and snapping?

how good are thay compared to max or maya?

What are the types of snapping (e.g. by planar projections, by entity, user-defined planes, selectons, etc.) supported? Can we modify the snap threshold? Can we import 3D curves from other programs? This will be a boon to us used to using construction curves as part of our workflow.

I like to know as well, you wouldn't want to compare to max...urrrhh
Maya has a good snapping work flow for modeling...I know half of what I do is all about snapping...

Not sure if that's what you're looking for but from what I've seen so far, Modo has 3 types of splines:
Regarding snapping... I've found the following: Grid, Geometry and Guides(see pic above).
The patch system is really great... it's a bit like Hurley plugin ( but on steroid.

It's really a great piece of software!
