View Full Version : Mental Ray Microscope Material - Create / Share

I would like to start a discussion on the creation of electron microscopes materials.
I hope that many people will want to take part and create crasy stuff :)

It would be nice to not use any material plugins or extra renderer to keep them compatible with the standard version of max.

I start this thread by sharing 2 max scene. Update them, modify them as you want.

really nice stuff buddie.

Falloff is the very best way to do that... I wonder if there are MR shaders that can do the work properly too.
Maybe the diffussion shader can do a good work for SSS in the cells.
