View Full Version : Possible to remove a tool?

just wondering, is it possible to remove a tool in PS? I want the sponge tool gone as I toogle between the "darken" and "lighten" tools.
Having the Sponge tool there means I have to press an extra annoying time on the "O" shortcut to pass it. I'd like to remove it, but is it do-able?

I'm quite sure there is no way to remove specific tools from Photoshop... certain plug-ins yes, but not the tools found in the toolbar.

umf, was afraid of that...

all the sub-tools kind of takes away the advantage of using shortcuts though. Oh well, one day they will fix it... one day...

Thanks Stefan

Are you using CS? I don't have it myself, but I read that you can customize shortcut keys there... maybe you can set a different shortcut for "dodge" and "burn"...?

Just an idea!

Didn't know CS had that, tested it on a CS computer and worked great... Maybe this calls for an upgrade. maybe...

Btw, very cool shortfilm you made

Geez guys, you make things way too complicated LOL

Just select the burn tool and hold ALT to switch to the dodge tool or
select the dodge tool and hold ALT to switch to the burn tool.

Press and hold 'alt' when using either dodge or burn to use the other.

Never knew about that one. My next post should be "How to hack PhotoShop" :)
thanks Elysian & Paul.
