Great work (as always) celmar. I hope I can see more of your art here. Surely this forum will grow fast ;)

I'm looking forward to seeing this evolve, one of my resolutions for the year was to produce something tangible in Z Brush, this might (will) be the inspiration to get it moving.

09 September 2004, 12:10 PM
maybe,a little wip would be, for people who don't know zbrush, interesting?... I began this morning that (rather classic, I'm afraid) character: a good ole orc, or goblin... as I don't know if wip are allowed here, or if it is like in the hosted part of the forum, I just post the actual step where I am... miss some things, hands and feet of course, and so on... I join a screen capture, as zbrush procezed by layers... if ok, I'll go on the post!...

09 September 2004, 12:12 PM
well... it seems impossible to stay inside my precedent post... I'm afraid that wip aren't ok?...

09 September 2004, 12:19 PM
Z-brush is probably the most intuitive 3D program in years - canīt wait 'til I see some fantastic mindbending artwork here!!!

09 September 2004, 12:19 PM
After a long wait ..... hmmm finally ... cant wait to see the works

09 September 2004, 12:33 PM
cool, I've been waiting for this one.:)

09 September 2004, 12:44 PM
Hey there, Kanga :) OK, buddy!

Better watch out for Frenchy Pilou - should have made 3000 posts by next weekend ;)
Good on yer, Frenchy :)

Should be a GREAT forum....!

09 September 2004, 01:47 PM
I don't know if wip are allowed here, or if it is like in the hosted part of the forum, I just post the actual step where I am...
A link to the posting rules and intro to the forum is in the first post, check it out. Looks like wips are ok.

09 September 2004, 01:59 PM
Best of luck with the new site.
Talk about one stop shopping.
All the best.

09 September 2004, 02:04 PM
I've looked, Kanga,... but the rule of game in that wip question is to stay inside the same post... which seems imposssible... well I'll post the finished picture!...

nice.. this will really help me out.. im going to start using zbrush very soon, and its handy to have all the basic good forums at one place.

hope there will come a nice tutorial list for this to..

09 September 2004, 04:33 PM
well, just the finished mesh... I'm going to go to texture, I'll just post the finished picture, if I'mų happy with it!.. it has been an unusual time, for zbrush moddelling, 3 hours that morning, and 2hours now; but there was parts a bit difficult, like feet, and... well...

09 September 2004, 06:19 PM

That creature is really cool, i cant believe how fast you are making it.

09 September 2004, 07:30 PM

09 September 2004, 12:04 AM
This is so great i am really eager to start
theoretical and practical discussion about ZB!!

i already made ZB a major part of my workflow
and such a forum is really needed :)

great thanks ppl..

09 September 2004, 12:52 AM
Wow, I'm kinda late for the opening. Thanks for the forum CGtalk and Pixologic!

This should be good....

It's nice to see you on these boards Frenchy Pilou, it wouldn't be a Zbrush forum without you...:)

09 September 2004, 01:47 AM

09 September 2004, 01:49 AM
Ahh great,, the ZB forum is up,. can't wait to learn some new tricks

09 September 2004, 02:21 AM
Oh no, another forum to keep an eye on. This is terrible ;)

Hope this part of CGtalk becomes as addictive as ZbrushCentral. Thanks for the extra forum.

09 September 2004, 05:29 AM

Great talent keeping an eye out should make this an awesome forum. Looking forward to learning alot and seeing some great stuff!!

09 September 2004, 07:30 AM
yestedrday, I've added to that guy a little pet... this morning, I'm adding a tail; I use the screen capture to say a little tip, very usefuil and not so practiced: when ading parts, always create the zsphere form in the scene: by that way, you're going to model parts which match perfectly the precedent elements!...

09 September 2004, 07:57 AM
AWESOME :bounce:

Way to go, cgtalk team... :buttrock: You rock

Okay hehe... enough is enough..

09 September 2004, 09:14 AM
Now this is spooky!
I've just looked at zbrush for the first time (I'm a cinema 4d useron a mac) and I'm amazed.
I've just watched the 2 movies on the zbrush website all the way through (I never do that) and I was blown away.
So, what do I do then? I come to cgtalk to find out more about it and discover that the forum has just started.
I have so many questions but I'll do a bit more browsing and research before I bother any of you guys with any stupid noobie questions.

Thank you cgtalk guys for making my life easier.

Thx meats

09 September 2004, 01:39 PM
This is great, I've been waiting for something like this. I'm still trying to get my head around where ZB fits into the scope of 3D apps. It's like a Photoshop on steroids, yet I'm seeing this amazing work from it.

I think I need to find me some video tuts. Anyone???

09 September 2004, 01:53 PM
waiting for the render of the orc above, which rather long, I finish that picture; initially done with a background, and rendered in carrara3, I've never been happy with the results; I get back the tools (3d object in zbrush) and decided to redo in pure zbrush... I'm always amazed by the purity of the texture work in z... so, now, with the exception of thje reflect, everything, from modell to render, is zbrush... ps: it's a pity to have just 90 in image size, because the precisionism of a zrender is intreresting... and anyway, it would be very useful to be able to post inside his own post...? maybe I didn't find how to do, with my "tramp" english?...

09 September 2004, 03:36 PM
Great Been waiting for this :bounce:

Hi Marcel what is the problem ?
It's seems that I have 2 images in the same post!

Ps I wish that Leo Marciani don't annoyed for the first avatar image :)
Pss That must be the system of attachment of image who makes problem !

09 September 2004, 03:48 PM
ben comment tu fais? tiens pour une fois j'ai + de post que toi...

Frenchy Pilou
09 September 2004, 03:51 PM
The images are external of Cgtalk!
So no problem for post !
With the tags and the adress inside between!

ps So they have not the Watermark of the "Gallery" !
Pss "Attachments are images or files that veteran users on CGTalk can upload to the server. Only users that have cleared 30 posts are given this privilege !"
Idem for an avatar !
Must be numerus posting
And then wait 24 hours for entry in the Base of the veterans :)

09 September 2004, 05:53 PM
Finally! Zbrush deserved all the same it small part with 3Ds max, maya and Lightwave. I am happy of this idea.

Marcel: Perfect work !

Hello to all!

My name is Matthew, and some of you may already know me as aurick from ZBrushCentral. I will be joining as a moderator here in this fine community at CGTalk. I am very excited by the prospect of increased communications between the two forums, and look forward to seeing great things from this synergy. (For that matter, I'm really looking forward to the possibility of creating cross-forums challenges and events which will allow for participation by members of both CGTalk and ZBrushCentral!)

We're encouraging you to post your cool images, works-in-progress, tips and tutorials, etc. Please feel free to post the same items in ZBrushCentral and allow the ZBC community to enjoy your work.

I'd like to thank Leonard Teo and all the team at CGTalk for this opportunity to help out!
