View Full Version : Changing color to white?

09-07-2004, 10:34 AM

I know how to change the color of a certain part of the picture. But what I donīt know is how to change the color to much brighter color or even white without losing the shadows and textures.

If someone knows a good method of how to do it, Iīd be happy to hear it!

Make a mask in a new alpha channel.
Turn that channel off, make your RGB or CMYK channels visible and go back to your layers.
Go to "select" -> "load selection" in the menu bar and load your mask from the alpha channels.
Make a new adjustment layer using brightness and contrast while keeping the selection selected and play with the settings.
Repeat the wole thing from "select" -> load selection and make a second adjustment layer using "selective colour". This is for the shadows to change colour.
