View Full Version : 3ds Max to XSI Question

I recently recieved my XSI Experience in the mail and I've alreagy got a question:
In 3ds max there is an option to "ignore backfacing" so that you would only select subobjects (edges, polygons) that were facing you. I'm sure there is a similar option in XSI but i can't seem to find it. :( I'd really appreciate it if someone could clue me in to this feature. Thanks.

press U on the keyboard, this will change the selection filter to Polygon, you will have the arrow with an eye, this I think what you need, now you can choose polygons, if you want to choose points and edges in the same whay just pick the filter from the selection panel in the right.

Yup, just use raycast tools (U, I, and the likes) to select elements like a marker. Ignore Backfacing will automatically be enabled.
Rectangular Selection has Ignore Backfacing automatically off I believe.
