The main idea is that inspiration is like a fluid that floats in the air, a substance that can be smelled, tasted and seen. It is easier than air and might be flowing as water, easily vanishing.

Absolutely amazing work, I love it =D

The only thing I would change is maybe making the texture on/above the cheeks closer match the chin and rest of the face. It looks a little too rough compared to the rest... this might just be me though.

But anyway, great job!!

Stunning. B&W CG always looks better to me. However, must offer the following crits.

The hair looks 3d; The tips show that it is clearly transparency mapped. The ends shouldn't be so straight cut.

I suppose the pores on the face are more defined because it is seen through the water or something else I don't understand, but it looks a bit odd.

09 September 2004, 12:35 AM
Nice stuff!

There are various discrepencies to criticise but overall I find the image aesthetically pleasing. I especially like the liquid and the eyes. The lips appear to lack any kind of depth. Overall: nice.

nice image -- if you change anything, I would suggest toning down the PORES of the skin. I like the freckles - but freckles denote a YOUNG person, and a younger person has much smaller pores ... not as pronounced. Keep up the excellent work bub!

09 September 2004, 07:38 AM
yeah the pores are to strong for such a face...
anyway great modeling and great liquids...

09 September 2004, 08:37 AM
very fine, and natural look!... the overall lighting is very good, and enhance the freshness!... would you post a wireframe of the face, withoiut the texture?...

09 September 2004, 09:11 AM
amazing work!!!

you are elite.

no comments, simply perfect!

09 September 2004, 09:36 AM
technically very impressive.
I don't really like 3D images like that thought, a photo would do the trick better...

09 September 2004, 09:50 AM
Nice model!
Nice lighting! A beautiful work. I'd like to know how you did the shading on the lips?
Anyway it's well done!

09 September 2004, 11:31 AM
well done ... love the eyes

09 September 2004, 05:03 PM
uhhh uhhhh :bowdown:IM NOT WORTHY.....IM NOT WORTHY !! Im truly amazed... all done in max no liquid programs or hair plug ins?

09 September 2004, 06:06 PM
Flippin brilliant!

The mouth looks exceptionally photo-real.
The whole thing looks photo real to me - the only thing that gave it away for me is the eyes being a little too sharp.
I do agree that the pores on her cheeks are a bit strong - it makes her look a lot older.

Excellent work either way!!

09 September 2004, 07:42 PM
Very nice render. The texturing looks kind of odd around the mouth, but other than that this could pass as a photo.
I'd say this is one of my new favorite compositions that I've seen here, at least. :)

09 September 2004, 05:01 AM
pore . lentigo . derma's texture
they look so clear
good job

09 September 2004, 08:51 AM
composition is very much out of balance, the diametral oposition if the water breaking is not very much in relation with the woman's face.

the modelling is good.

09 September 2004, 02:25 PM
great work, very realitic

I know the accident with the pores... but I am just a begginer! I will be more carefull with texture... Thanks for all messages. It was a pleasure!

I'll be back soon!

09 September 2004, 08:29 PM
This is awesome work! The textures and especially the skin shader are phenomenal. The hair and eyebrows are very well done also. I agree that the pores on the cheeks are a tad bit too much and that the eyes are too "glassy" looking. What does this image look like in color?

09 September 2004, 01:23 AM
I think this work deserver some attentions. here's my 2 cent.

The part that given away is the split end of the hair. Now it look very obvious that it's build from plane. This could be problems with the transparency map. But anyway, I believe u can do better job than that.

The highlight in the eye is too hard (it's scary u know?), u could try to make it a little smaller and softer (but not too soft). Currently the eye's shader looks more like highly reflective glass than watery translucean eye. The value of the spec on eye could be a little lower too.
I don't really mind the pores. looks fine for me.

should be nicer if u add a little falloff rim light from both sides of jaw and neck.

Composition wise, it's really off balanced. but it still undenyably a very nice image.

Someone make it front page!

quality nice , great work :)

09 September 2004, 12:37 PM
nice work her eyes r realy nice :)

09 September 2004, 01:19 PM
Real nice!

Maybe try to make the girl blurred as if she was in the background. This enhances the picture and give it more depth.

i love the're very you finish this eyebrow and mouse .it's very very reality .but ithink the skin have some problem

09 September 2004, 09:57 AM
well i dont like the part below the fluid ... it like .. a different picture.
But the eyes and the hair , they r so pretty ... :)

10 October 2004, 04:45 PM
This is amazing, I love the eyes, and the water is very cool. I am curious though, what is reflecting in her eyes? is it just a picture or did you model a room for her to be looking into? once again, amazing work! :buttrock:

11 November 2004, 10:21 PM
really nice work... but i think derz som prob with the face the bump map tht u used.... is not tht real... derz lods of bumps on her cheek... it doesn really look tht real..

if u hav time... n if u think tht m rit... u can fix tht thing.. .n post it again...

11 November 2004, 12:00 PM
Amazing character very realistic. I love the cocept and the decision fro black and white was great. The fluid effect is well executed and the whole piece has a great feel

Nice work

11 November 2004, 09:57 AM
wew. love her lips man. great work :)

11 November 2004, 03:11 PM
Ohh thats something no want to miss!! My frnds loving it too 98mark out of100

11 November 2004, 07:33 PM
The woman looks almost 100% photo-realistic. The glare in the eyes seems a little to shinny to be real, but beside that it is wonderful.

01 January 2005, 06:43 PM
Beauteful, maybe the only crit would be that skin looks a bit strange.. the bumbs on cheeks are to big...

01 January 2005, 09:26 PM
i like the water very much. i also like the fact that it in b&w

03 March 2005, 05:25 AM
beautiful work....

03 March 2005, 09:25 AM
well eventually you'll figure out the problem with the skin, but i still think is a very nice concept, well executed.

05 May 2005, 06:06 AM
Absolutely Ingenious. Will learn from ur fluid dynamics. Cheers

Actually i think this is a nice piece of skill , your choose of gray colors is absloutlty fantastic.

However , the area around the mouth is some kind of stretched , i mean the color of this area above the lips is a bit diferrent.

Any way , its a very nice work.

Keep goin man

06 June 2006, 12:18 PM
