Rav, and what an excellent first post..
what I like about your render,

> your knowledge off lighting looks good, and makes your seen believable
> I like the shader and texture work you've done, I think I might try body paint..
> The modeling is creative.

what I think could have done better and what I don't really care for,

> The image could have been done with the a little less of a dof..
> trees in the back look off, they almost look like leaves with a shallow alpha..

I think that all and all, it's a great peace that should fit well in a portfolio..

hi guys thanks for all your comments:)

hanzo i went a bit over board with the "dof "i will try to fit it.

krazed I got the look of the snow by using bump and displacement mapping and alot of test rendering.

Check out this link, this is were I got my inspiration form for my scene set-up. (

Here some wires and test renders

Very nice. Only thing I can really critique about it is that the jet engine doesn't look like it lines up. It's almost horizontal at the front of the craft yet for some reason the exhaust is up the top of the craft at the rear. You might be better off to angle the entire thing up a bit more so it looks believable.
