Hi here :)
It's my first participation to the daily sketch
Here is my personal demon :D

Around 35-40 min , photoshop 7 and Wacom

08-27-2004, 03:25 PM
Quick one, not too much inspiration. Yes, my demon is purple and swirly, totally chaotic like my schedules and time tables.

Around 30 minutes, PS, tablet.

08-27-2004, 04:43 PM
He's SO persuasive, darn it!
About an hour in Photoshop 7, with Painter 8 for the inking.

08-27-2004, 04:52 PM

me, at my computer, late into the night, messing around on CGTalk when i REALLY should be working on my project for school. and on a grander scale, summer is almost over, this is my last year of high school, and in a year i'll be going to college.

time is my demon.

oh yes. 20 mins, mechanical pencil on a piece of note paper. i thought the "DATE" in the top left corner was appropriate.

this is also the first thing i've ever posted on CGTalk. you can see why

08-27-2004, 05:13 PM
Well, I decided to twist things up a little. I changed it to my Personnel Demon. Bad pun, but it turned out alright.

20 min sketch 40 minute color in Photoshop.

this is a lot of fun. A good distraction at work.

08-27-2004, 06:19 PM
My thoughts are my personal demon... Sometimes I can't stop thinking. Irritating problem :P

Nice work, guys. I would like to join but my inspiration's gone for a weekend.

08-27-2004, 07:52 PM
He likes to stomp up and down when I try to sleep

08-27-2004, 08:07 PM
Darn it, DrakeX was to fast for me! I allways struggle with time, is it getting to an appointment, keeping a deadline or calling bestest friends 9 hours away...

08-27-2004, 08:54 PM
Love the freaky rabbit thing. the pink and the gray makes a good clash, works for the piece. Somehow those eyes still look friendly. odd. Keep it up.

08-27-2004, 08:54 PM
i hope this isnt a "tribute"...

08-27-2004, 09:27 PM

Very nice Drumwhore ,and everyone else.

been bored so done another

08-27-2004, 10:49 PM
Drumwhore, as always, outstanding work you did there. But somehow I did predict that finally someone would paint a nice demon...uhm... demon-girl. My mind's out of ideas right now. So... maybe next time. See ya.

08-27-2004, 11:47 PM
MustardWash, you get my vote! All those little messages must go through my head at least 2-3 times a day, especially the "just one more level..."

08-28-2004, 01:20 AM
Here's my entry;

@J_Grieve : Your rabbit looks like the one in Donny Darko... freaky! (did you notice?) -

@ Mustard Wash : Right on!!! - Lol, but don't think i didn't notice the copy/paste int he middle of the vices! (or lazyness one you forgot to mention :P) Speaking of lazyness, i ripped the BG from Google, then edited it with the gradient (the original was B/W) ... I know, I know. Anyways, i'm trying something new in terms of style on this one, so i'd appreciate your feedback.

30 minutes sketch, 2hrs Photoshop (Wacom)

Thanks in advance for your feedback,

08-28-2004, 02:13 AM
here's my personal demon. lots of little clues and symbols in there (which i sincerely hope no-one else will read fully :D ) 2 hours today

i agonised about whether to use a high or low key version... in the end i went for the high key one because of my particular favourite artistic movements and it felt stronger in terms of it's painterlyness.

08-28-2004, 02:32 AM
Hey, been a while.

I think this is maybe a bit out of place. A personal demon seems to be some kind of idiom in english. Well, this is my third pic today and it's 4:30 am. So please bear with me :)

08-28-2004, 10:58 PM
Rasdasa I always love seeing your work, another great piece.Much appreciated Xer :)

08-28-2004, 11:00 PM
Hi everyone. Rasdasa it's a little bit late you posted this sketch. And I hate when nobody replies after you get a late post, It's like nobody's anymore interested. But that is not the reason why I write this. I'm a little bit new here, new as a posting-guy... But I've visited cgtalk since 2001 or something around it. Well than... That is a grat sketch Rasdasa. I already see you in that dark room with just a little lamp on your desk, and something in the darkness... Something that gets your mind crazy, controled... yeah. Ok, I'll better quit talking and do something. Good job everyone. Nice to see so many talents. Cheers!

Oh, and sorry for my English. I hope that I didn't write anything stupid.

08-28-2004, 11:04 PM
hahaha, no no, nothing stupid. I know what you are talking about, but i always procrastinate on actualy scanning the damn pic. It's more for the practice then the recognition so it doesn't really bother me how many people see it.
I usually do a two day interval kind of thing. draw two sketches/topics in two days and then post them at the same time. :wise: ;P
Anyways, thanks for the kind comments

08-28-2004, 11:13 PM
Ok than, lets have a beer

08-30-2004, 12:43 AM
Holy crap Radassa! That's fantastic! :scream:

As long as their hearts are in to it ;P

I wonder if anyone has yet spelled Rasdasa's name correctly. :)
I was too in awe to burble out the correct spelling. My bad typo skills. :D

08-31-2004, 02:38 AM
Don't sweat it Erilaz, it's no biggie.

08-31-2004, 04:15 PM
Thanks CybrGfx, DMageXVII, coCoKNIght & everyone for the kind comments.

DMageXVII: Doh, you caught my hidden vice of laziness. I was hoping no one would see the copy / paste. Great pic today BTW. I like the new style. Very fresh and clean.

Many great pictures this thread. Good job everyone.

09-01-2004, 05:06 AM

Kinda self-portrait, it's like an alter-ego from the alter-ego. Had an idea for a more cartoonish personal devil, hope to find time to draw it. Brilliant sketch, Mustard.

Sir Patroclo

09-01-2004, 04:57 PM
Wow, Sir Patroclo! Awesome picture. You do great cartoonish stuff all the time, I had no idea you could do this type of realism also. Your alter ego has a very brooding & devilish look to him.
(guess that fits the "personal demon" motif :p )

You have inspired me to draw a alter ego of myself also.
Keep up the good work man! And thanks for the comment! :)

09-02-2004, 07:28 PM
thank you mr Wash :)

09-03-2004, 07:23 AM
My contribution here. About 9 minutes which makes it a rough... SKETCH! :)

09-03-2004, 10:13 PM

09-04-2004, 12:12 AM
