Hey, I cant beleave i am the first to reply to this threat "W00t!".

Best F1 Car i have ever seen, This is amazing man!

Well done grate efforts! to bad it was 3D's MAX "GO MAYA"

How long did it take to render did you use software render? or did you use v-ray? etc.

Tell us a bit more about it.

Front page for sure.

Great detail and mapping. excellent renders!!!

08-26-2004, 04:44 PM
Great attention to detail:D like the Ferrari emblem, layered spokes, nice, "real" mirrors;) , freakin clean, the B&W's don't do your textures justice, IMHumbleO a little under-exposed.
Great work
BTW curious, what renderer? (hehe, not that it really matters,ne1 who knows their render engine well enough can nearly emulate any other renderer)
Thx for sharing...

Very nice modeliong & shading!

Looks like a very accurate model of the ferrari!

08-26-2004, 08:27 PM
really nice, that damn car is always first over the line too ;)

you should render them out with less noise when you get the time, other than that almost perfect!

08-26-2004, 09:33 PM

Great modeling, this f1 is the best I've ever seen.

08-26-2004, 09:36 PM
WOW! Absolutely stunning, i love the detail in the rims and tires, very nice. What kind of lighting setup did you use?

08-26-2004, 10:13 PM
Great job man, no comments...

08-26-2004, 11:21 PM
considering I'm not a huge fan of the F1 cars...this absolutely rocks!
it's the little details that make it more "real" such as the the fact that the emblems/decals don't perfectly line up across panel seams (like the shell logo on the side pod), like the panel has been removed and replaced, but tightened down differently so they don't line up..adding history to the model.
--we can all learn from that detail!

there is one thing that bugs me though...
the suspension arm for the right front wheel doesn't seem to be connected to the nose of the car (the angle arm to the internal shock)

you can see this on the front view as well as the overhead view from the right of the car.

other than that.. PERFECT

I spent over 4 hours on doing the render
waiting ur more advice.

08-27-2004, 06:59 AM
Nice Job!

Maybe a bit aliased in high contrast areas like the spoilers - are those XM sat radio receivers?

08-27-2004, 07:00 AM
Very Nice. I am not a fan of Ferrari Team but this one is great. I thing some materials should be reworked , like the one of the rims :p Great work man ....

08-27-2004, 07:04 AM
WOOT ! nice..

but look at picture 4.... left front wheel... one of the suspencion metals (???)) does not reach the noby, like on the other side.. it just.. floats... its missing that shinier metalic part like on the right wheel..

stil! WOOT!

08-27-2004, 07:36 AM

well :) The best f1 car i have ever seen also

08-27-2004, 04:44 PM
Absolutely fantastic, the model is really good made, materials rock, the only thing i'm disappointing is the tyre shader, wich i don't like so much.

Mojo Rizen
08-27-2004, 06:52 PM
Impressive, most impressive

08-27-2004, 06:57 PM
Absolutely beatiful! I have to agree with some of the others that this is the best 3D F1-car I've ever seen. Great modelling, texturing, rendering and great work on the shaders. The tyres really do look like rubber!

Now for a little critique... the mirrors are a little dark in their shadows or a too shadowy/dark. The interiors in the monocoque (chair and steering wheel) could do with another shader/terxtures. All in my opinion of course. The black bottom of the car that you can see clearly at the rear of the car, doesn't quite look real somehow.

Apart from these details, absolutely fantastic work!

About the suspension.... maybe time for the mechanics to get to work ;-)

08-27-2004, 11:08 PM
Absolutely amazing! :buttrock:

08-28-2004, 12:02 AM
Very good, well done!

08-28-2004, 12:29 AM
Super !!! :bounce:
Welldone

Can You Expline carpaint shader? Please.

08-28-2004, 11:09 AM
This awesome! no doubt. These are the kind of things that make you feel all warm inside about CGI. When ever i see it, i just wanna go model :).

08-28-2004, 03:49 PM
Top artwork! Frontpage well deserved!

A like the detailing on your F1 Car very much!.Cleary demonstrating MR's + 3Dsmax power, and the texturing is top-notch! I dont got any crits exept for a more "rubber" feeling on the tyres...how about that?

And a photo composition would be awesome :)

08-28-2004, 05:13 PM
I love the model although I prefer renaults:). The only thing that I donīt like are the tires which I think are too shiny and make them look like plastic instead of rubber(donīt know if this word is correct for tires).

Very good job.

08-28-2004, 06:02 PM
Can some one please explain how you guys do the bad ass car paint like that

08-29-2004, 03:32 AM
wow those are some very and I mean very impressive captures! well done :buttrock:

08-31-2004, 12:02 PM
Very nice.

The wheels are suberb and the texture seems to be pretty good to. Only the Marlboro logo on the airbox and rearwing aren't right. And I think that the sidepod it a litle to round but that I don't know for sure.

Lovely work. Great attention to detail. I especialy like the tyres as always seems to be the one area people critizise the most but yours are spot on.

The model is missing one crucial element...a 7 times world champion!!!

09-01-2004, 06:35 PM
great job! my only small crit is that some of the logos appear unnatural, like they are sitting flat on the curved surfaces. maybe slightly shade areas of them to simulate being rounded.

09-02-2004, 02:52 AM

however, one thing i noticed....

is it just the way im looking at it or is the suspension bar on the front corner (the rod that goes from the bottom of the hub up to the suspension inside the nose) not lined up properly?

it looks like the silver piece that goes through the shell is sitting too high, and not connected to the rod at all.

apart from that, absolutely fantastic! :)

09-02-2004, 02:57 AM
Wow, this is one of the best F1-models i've seen! Although i could just repeat al the complements of everybody, as one of the biggest F1-fans around , i must give a little criticism. The sidepods of the F2003-GA are not as round as they are in your model. The shaders used for the rubber material aren't completely realistic as well, they give a bit of a plastic idea. The wheelaxis could use a bit more detail, as it has to be putten on and off real fast during a pitstop. Currently in your model it doesn't have the right geometry to fit the tools that are used for that if you know what i mean.I also think the T-cam is a bit to exaggerated, it should be a little less 'raw'.

But nevertheless, this is really an awesome model and render, and i wish i could do the same.
I'd love to see more of your work!

09-02-2004, 06:26 AM
Excelent job!

the details of tires are fantastic!!

09-02-2004, 07:46 AM
Very nice F2003-GA!
Don't worry about the rubber, it looks perfect to me. F1 tyres shine a bit like plastics. The rims are perfect as well.

The model looks great though some little things need attention.

-On the right side of the car just above the E sticker there's a little round handle, inside the last O of Marlboro. It starts the internal fire extinguisher (that's what the E stands for).

-About the Ferrari logo on the tip of the nose, isn't that just a sticker? If it was a plate it would kill the aerodynamics of the car ;)

-The inside of the airintake has a flat bottom, it doesn't follow the curve of the outside.

Maybe I'm just picky but this car looks so great it just needs these details to be perfect. Joostingh is right about the Marlboro logo's. They are tricky, believe me, I know.

09-02-2004, 08:06 AM
outstanding wheels, how much post time was spent on those? and where did those textures enter your posession?

09-02-2004, 08:13 AM
what is that guy talking about...'go maya!'
who needs Maya when you can use studio max like that, pointless. You carry on. MAX to the MAX.

09-02-2004, 04:51 PM

When I see the model the first time I thought it was a picture, but at the end I see the wireframe screenshots and...wow!

It's is when I see such models that I'd want to abbandon my 3d activity...

09-02-2004, 06:19 PM
Wow good work, probably the best F1 iv'e seen in 3d......Good job

Nice render

09-05-2004, 10:23 AM
Jolly nice modelling there..... excellent subject matter too :)

I must say the treatment of the paint looks very nice indeed and I too like the nice touch of mis-aligning the panels so that the decals apear slightly off... nice one.

09-28-2004, 07:34 PM
When can I have the key??:D

10-01-2004, 11:30 PM
i think that looks so good that F1 should start makeing there cars like that ! :bounce:

11-16-2004, 09:12 AM
Very nice modeliong & shading!

11-29-2004, 09:30 PM
