If there were any crits then you would want a live monkey then because that's as good as it gets. AMAZING stuff mate. Keep up the good work.

Very cool concept. It captures the essence of the God of Strength. I love the style used to portray him; unlike the way he is portrayed in the television series of Ramayan.
The only complaint I have is the amount of constriction around the waist. Something about the lats & waist seems disproportionate; the waist is too thin compared to the overal size of other parts of the body.

thanks pokeroo......yeah...i hated the television version too...its got no similarity to what the scriptures actually say!!.....
well...about the proportions......couldnt see whats wrong...dunno....maybe its coz i purosely blew up the size of the calves and the forearms that make the waist look small.....

thanks Aimshot....i think i can live without a real monkey though!!:P...lol.
heres an image of just the character and the face in case the first image is distracting...cya guys:)

Very cool :bounce:
I remember reading about this character in some comic book when I was a little younger. Doesn't he live in a huge tower somewhere?

08 August 2004, 02:42 AM
good work Vivek......where r u in India??
08 August 2004, 03:30 AM
if only you could make hanuman's body covered with fur, not only by mapped texture. it'll be awesome! or you have done it? coz i can't see it clear with a black background for your scene. anyway, i like ur idea, it really brings your identity!
i also would like to ask, in my culture hanuman has white coloured fur, btw i'm from indonesia. just wanna know...

cobra_ and WHH :thanks a lot guys:)
sandy_maith : hey man..thanks....i;m from pune..where r u from??
its bugz : thanks man...well i've used shag hair for alll the fur.....its probably the angle or the background that makes it looked mapped...or maybe the resolution........as for the colour....yes i am aware that in ur culture he white fur......there have been many variations to the image of hanuman depending of the region from where the myth was reinvented.....i used only the valmiki ramayana and the shiv purana for the design of my character......i did see the indonesian versions...but tried to stick to these two texts.......there are actually variations to depictions and stories of all the gods between the indonesian and indian texts even though the characters are the same.....hope u liked this version....i'm comin up with another god soon...someone u as an indonesian will relate to more..."garuda"....stay tuned...and hope u like it:)
bulzae : thanks man:)
well...for all those interested......i have a full bio and concept detail on this page...didnt wanna type it all again..so thought i'd just link u......heres the link...enjoy:)
