View Full Version : MR and Bonus Tools shaders

I'm trying to render the veining shader that comes with Bonus Tools 6.0.1 and all I get is a solid color. The Maya Software renderer handles it fine but MR just refuses to work with it. I've tried the wood and several others of them and they all act the same. Is it this way for everybody? Anyway to make these shaders work with MR? Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken those shaders are not supported by mental ray.

Daniel is correct, those shaders are not currently supported by mental ray for maya.

If you really really want to use them set them up using the standard renderer then use the texture preview tool and save the output as a iff and apply it as a regular file texture..

You may need to increase the resolution of the texture its in the options somewhere.
