08-15-2004, 08:29 PM
I don't usually plug untextured models, but the detail on this one is really well done - so front page for you :) I really like the pose as well - it really conveys action. Great work!

got one question...where are the colors ??

08-15-2004, 08:52 PM
Absolutely excellent modeling!

The only thing I can think of to make it better would be a real war-grin on his face - just some more emotion there.

Looking forward to see this guy textured.

08-15-2004, 09:06 PM

08-15-2004, 09:35 PM
Nice Model and attention to detail mang!!

08-15-2004, 09:41 PM
Amazing detail dude, Two thumbs up. A texture on this baby would be even better. How about some wires?

08-15-2004, 09:46 PM
reminds me of a castlevania type of character, very nice work.

08-15-2004, 09:48 PM

08-15-2004, 09:55 PM
Im totally blown away.
I can't believe the details on this scene...
And it's not even textured yet!!!

Awesome inspiration..

08-15-2004, 10:05 PM
Absolutely excellent modeling!

The only thing I can think of to make it better would be a real war-grin on his face - just some more emotion there.

Looking forward to see this guy textured.
I think he went for the "Terminator" look. Professional killer. :)

08-15-2004, 10:47 PM
Outstanding model, and a good render at that. However I would hate to have to rig and texture him. Love the composition.

08-15-2004, 10:56 PM

on par with panzar's work if not better.
good luck with the texturing you are going to need it lol

08-16-2004, 12:19 AM

08-16-2004, 01:31 AM
I'm tired, so I'll just say this: sweet.

08-16-2004, 01:56 AM
normally I do not reply to threads, but I must comment on your very nice modeling abilities.
perfect render as well. I hope that is the final composition
It doesn't need textures or a background if you are displaying your modeling skills (which you are :o)

08-16-2004, 02:11 AM
Cool, it reminds me of a chaos warlord from warhammer with all of his spiky bits and all. Very nice.

08-16-2004, 02:41 AM
how does he go to the bathroom with all that shit on?

08-16-2004, 02:41 AM
Wow, that's just awesome. Can't wait to see it textured (and yes, we need a wireframe...)

If I had to give a crit it would be the legs. I dunno why exactly, but they seem much too short compared to the rest of his body, and his feet look rather small. Almost like a dwarf, but I don't think that's what he is. ;)

Still great nonetheless, nice job.

08-16-2004, 03:03 AM
wow, that's awesome!! Is that an amibent occulsion shader of somekind? I love the look and all the details. Even the chain links look like they would hurt if you got hit by them. That's a good detail.

08-16-2004, 03:31 AM
I wanna see more!!
ALOT more!!!
Big jpgs, closeups, wires...this is AWESOME!!!

08-16-2004, 05:56 AM
hey this is some awsome work, one thing though his body is to short, make him more like 7 to 8 heads tall then hell be a real warrior

08-16-2004, 06:09 AM
Awesome detail. Perfect.

08-16-2004, 06:47 AM

This is model of the central character for my project "Alone on the battlefield" I made it about 2 months. WOW outstanding!!
The only critic, is the ball of the mace... It seem a wood mace...
naaaa! Is only my impression...
to throw away any wrong impression you should color it!

Another thing... "Alone on the battlefield" OK but where are the enemy:curious:? where's the background? HEY! I'm alone here!!!

I'm joking :p the picture is too small to see some flaw, so make a bigger render and post wireframe and some zoomed detail please!
Great work!

08-16-2004, 09:38 PM
what a great model,i like it.the details are so perfect that it do not need any texture to look fine. and if you can, please show a largerversion so we can see the full details :applause: :applause:

the rookie
08-16-2004, 10:25 PM
No textures, but wire please, this is really good, I figure before I read it, that the poly count had to be heavy, but it is still dope and your using Max, did you used Meshtools script? I had just figured out a life long mystery looking at your piece and I don't know why I didn't think about doing it that way before, but it just helped me figure out something, I'll explain later, back to work for me :D

08-17-2004, 01:46 AM
Still waiting for a wire frame? Why the wait?

08-17-2004, 01:48 AM

Incredibly Intricate work. Great attention to detail. You are a true craftsman!

Do you have a website that showcases more of your work and about yourself?

Also, what are your system specs that you use (If you do not mind me asking of course)?

08-17-2004, 09:21 PM
Great modeling my man, but come on...what's with the lack of updates! If I ever manage to obtain the high honor of front page status, I would at least thank the moderator(s) for their generous actions.

That's my opinion anyway,
