Name: A.baldasseroni

Here`s some renders of this Nissan , made just for fun under "pressing" request of a friend of mine, hope you like it, and of course comments and crits are welcomed as usual.

Sweeeeet! VERY nice!
But you know, there isn't a passenger seat in this car. It's replaced by three bottles of NOS. :)

08-14-2004, 12:09 AM
Reeeeally great work! It looks nearly real for me :D

08-14-2004, 12:23 AM
Nice!!!!!!!!!!! I really like the first 2 large renders. Tailpipe looks a little small, had to try to crit something ;) I'd like to see an unsmoothed wire shot, as well as know which renderer was used, looks very impressive!

08-14-2004, 12:24 AM
Man really REALLY great modeling!!

The surface on your wheels looks a little off. Maybe add a little more spec or reflection, right now that's the only thing that really sticks out to me but I'm nitpicking... great job man

08-14-2004, 01:50 AM
Mio dio, è bellissima.

Ma ti troverò su qualche forum italiano?

08-14-2004, 01:54 AM
Lascia stare, ho capito, sei amico di Manu. :)

Excuse me CGTalk users for my little conversation in italian. :)

08-14-2004, 06:46 AM
pZion : Doh...i think you are right :D

Tbonz816 : here`s a couple of wireframe , it`s rendered in Brazil Btw

Droooool !!! Stunning. Love this car too and the way you displayed it with the lighting. So why isn't it on the front page yet ?? :bounce:

08-14-2004, 09:06 AM
I love it!
Perfect modelling and very nice rendering. The lighting is very good.

:buttrock:This car drove right out of an NFS:Underground 2 garage :buttrock:

Dias : Grazie dell`apprezzamento! ....ehm...chi e` Manu ?

Emanuale, non lo conosci? Ti ho riconosciuto dal modello di Eva, mi ricordo che avevate intenzione di fare un'animazione. Cmq potrei essermi sbagliato, in quel caso scusami. :)

08-14-2004, 11:01 AM
Ottimo lavoro made in Italy! :)

go on! :buttrock:

08-14-2004, 11:11 AM
Anyway, how did you make that tyres (parlo delle gomme, non cerchioni)?
Nurbs o poly? If you did them with poly, can you post some bigger wire?

08-14-2004, 12:27 PM
jeez Ale...
you are getting better every time.
can't really find much to crit on, -plugged-

The car is ugly as hell ( the design, but i never liked Skyline look anyway hehe, i like smooth shapes :P ) but the way you created it is simpy amazing, great work, great details, doesn't surprise me it's on the frontpage, those pics are going to my private gallery of best pictures hunted on the net. Keep up the good work!!!

08-14-2004, 01:06 PM
CuTnPaste : Grazie mille :)

Dias : Non mi ricordo di Emanuele....but well...never mind ;)
The tyres are polygons, unsmoothed

and here`s a couple of shaded renders i forgot to post before :

ThE_JacO : grazie mille Raffaele ;)

Dr. Ira Kane :Yeah...it does not make me crazy either ehehe

Awesome car, awesome render. Hats off!

 :applause:

08-14-2004, 05:03 PM
Nice render. Besides de "wow and awesome" commentary way that I no doubt you'll get plenty of, I'd like to ask something that I found missing in the commentarys of the talented artist that have the skills to do such grat looking renders: the illumination part of them. Stunning modelling, great textures, good post-processing the renders... but how about the lighting setup? Can you share some of your skills on that aspect, please? :-)

08-14-2004, 05:14 PM
That's a fairly fantastic render, just curious on the time it took you and is it all with 3DS Max or was there any added deatil with another prog.
Keep up the great work!

Dene of Terror
08-14-2004, 05:24 PM

08-14-2004, 06:02 PM

08-14-2004, 06:10 PM
Da fastidio da tanto che è bella! Sei l'onore della grafica italiana alessandro! Per fortuna ci sei tu!

08-14-2004, 06:31 PM
Sweet! That is one killer model!

08-14-2004, 06:35 PM
Awesome render and model man!! Nice work. Is this rendered in regular max scanline/mentalray / or Brazil?? What are the subdivisions set to from the original cage?

08-14-2004, 07:09 PM
If I have this car..........hahah

08-14-2004, 07:25 PM
Amazing work!!!!!
(me wants a skyline like this one)

08-14-2004, 07:38 PM
Great Modeling, You really caught the way the Body and the Windows catch the light awesome Car and great attention to detail.

08-14-2004, 07:57 PM
Hi !

Great work guy

Just a question. You wireframe looks quite low. I'm really really surprised you have a so fine smoothed version. Can you tell us a bit more about that. What's your smoothign setup?(3 iterations ? What smooth type? ...)
That's great to work on a such as low mesh to get a such as result !

Looking forward your reply, again, good work !

08-14-2004, 10:06 PM

Great model and surely one of the most stylish car renders i've ever seen...

please keep doing the stuff you do...

08-14-2004, 10:11 PM
Nice rendering. The only crit would be the rivets/nuts on the rims are just shoved into it. A little recess would create a nice highlight...but thats being really picky, and only matters in a close up. Great work.

I would like to hear about your lighting setup as well as materials used for paint and reflections.

08-14-2004, 10:20 PM

08-14-2004, 11:10 PM
Yeah, thats really neat!

08-14-2004, 11:50 PM
Great work dude. Just wondering, do you always use the same render "room".
C ya later dude, and keep it up :D

08-15-2004, 03:38 AM
yeah...this would qualify as amazing in my book...or notebook:eek:

08-15-2004, 04:27 AM
wow awesome, as everybody say!

don't know what to say more!
everything looks good on this thing!

08-15-2004, 04:36 AM

08-15-2004, 06:32 AM
Awe...Great model indeed!

el paso
08-15-2004, 07:47 AM
very very nice car, I love it (both here and in the movie)

just wondering if maybe you could shed some light on how you did the headlights, maybe post an image of the different maps you used for reflection etc. (I'm talking about the 3 different bulb areas per headlight)

anyways, very nice

be ha

08-15-2004, 10:50 AM
possibly perfect, cant find any mesh error or faults in rendering. Looks absolutely real, nice job!

08-15-2004, 12:36 PM
AWESOME !!! One of the best cars I have seen. 5 Stars ! Can you please tell us how long you worked on this project and can you plz plz post a screenshot of your lighting setup ?

Or is it secret ? ;-)

08-15-2004, 12:41 PM
absolutely awesome!!....stunning and very inspiring work. Well done!!

Only crit, as mentioned, the exhaust pipe is too small. Its needs to be alot larger in diameter.

08-15-2004, 12:53 PM

Stunning car model you made there and the shading is suberb. I'm curious how you have done the headlights.

One of the best carmodels i have seen.

08-15-2004, 01:24 PM
very very nice work I fond it awesom :applause:

08-15-2004, 02:09 PM
Its a great piece of work! Very nicely and cleanly modelled, the attention is all there in every curve and accentuated edge! I too am modelling a 34, but havent gotten as far as you have with it. Your work has inspired me to get back to it and work on it more! The only thing i can critique is the amount of reflections, its just a bit too glossy and reflective, i doubt even a real car could be that shiney. But then i could be wrong! But anyway, EXCELLENTE my friend, look forward to seeing more!

08-15-2004, 03:09 PM
beautiful...simply beautiful....PIMP!

08-15-2004, 04:59 PM
 N O C O M M E N T S:bounce:

08-15-2004, 05:13 PM
where can i get the blueprints for this car? :)

08-15-2004, 05:56 PM
Nice work! http://www.cgtalk.com/images/icons/icon7.gifhttp://www.cgtalk.com/images/icons/icon13.gif

http://www.cgtalk.com/images/icons/icon3.gifMay I prefer you to add a full wide-bodykit to the scene, and the paint I would even pay to see on it´s surface, is a two-stage PPG red pigment color! Might the idea look good? http://www.cgtalk.com/images/icons/icon13.gif http://www.cgtalk.com/images/icons/icon13.gif http://www.cgtalk.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

BTW You did boxmodel the car right? http://www.cgtalk.com/images/icons/icon11.gif

08-15-2004, 07:27 PM

08-17-2004, 09:54 PM
wow man, very impressive!:bounce::thumbsup:

08-21-2004, 09:28 AM
could you explain us how you make the scene (lighting and reflective plan)

and how do you obtain the glow on the car ???

superb car :))

08-21-2004, 10:16 AM
What the....How the....When the...How did....What did...ARRRG!!!!!!!!!!!

That's like...The mecca of 3D Cars. I love everything; the modelling, the textures (if they're vynals mabye they should have slight bumps,) the lighting, the reflections, MEEP!

Waaaaaaay too cool.

-Akira

Awesome work. My brother's favorite car. He just fainted when i showed him your model.

08-22-2004, 03:44 AM
Im so tired of see'n car models done in 3d, guess because most of them look 3d can'd but this one, well dam im replying so I guess thats nuff said. Keep it up maun thats the shit that impresses other artist to new heights.

08-31-2004, 07:11 PM
the only crit I have is you need to rotate the wheels so they arent exactly the same on the front and back (including the other side) like teh spokes are in the identical position on all of the rims. thats the only thing I have to say

09-01-2004, 10:52 AM
i have no words for this ....

maybe 1 word: beautifull !

09-01-2004, 04:56 PM

Hi Black Dog!!

For me this Skyline is so perfect that not necessary of commentaries,
then I made a trick asking if did not have more nothing "to adjust" in
the car, maybe always is some detail that can be better modeled.

09-02-2004, 12:29 PM

Must be one of the best car jobs I've seen...especially that paint job. The metallic looks extremely convincing. Good body modelling- can't see any serious flaws.
