View Full Version : XSI Foundation character animation question

Is this possible in XSI? ( I'm playing with the demo, but do not see this option. )

1. Simply open a pre-rigged character

2. Apply a motion capture file/data to the skeleton ( golf swing for example )

3. Click on play and the character is already animated / swinging ( no need to do the animation from scratch )

For example a program called lifeforms can do this, and then you can import this animation to be rendered into Maya, LW, Max,

In 4.0, check out the netview. Under the model tab you'll find a mocap rig which you can drag into the scene (import a model), and under the animaiton tab you'll find animation presets which you can then drag onto the mocap model(creating an action source and clip on the mocap model). There ya go, that's the whole idea behind using the animation mixer in a pipeline.
