View Full Version : maya 6 vector render SWF

Im trying to save a short animation as a .swf file for use in flash. From its description in the help file thats whats its for. Unfortunatly when i render it out it renders every frame in an unreadable filetype. It also makes another file at frame 1, but thats only readable in notepad and makes no sense.
If someone could inform me how to make those frames into a single swf file that flash can read please let me know.

i read there was a tutorial out there but have had no luck finding it.

you have to select in the renders globals, in the image file output settings, under frame/animation Ext : name.ext (vector multi frame) and just hit batchrender...

Works for me...

Ive set it all liek that, it works as a single frame render.
But when i do a batch render it saves out every frame as the MAYA file name not the one i specified, and in a .iff. So i basically end up wit 50 frames of files no program can read instead of 1 .swf file.
