View Full Version : Crit my overal modeling/geometry

Trying to practice modeling for games. At first this model was highly quaded in poly mode...
...but then I was told there was no need for quadding for games related models and that its bad to have more than 2 vertices on a straight line. So I start dragging vertices around...which I think is making the model better and tighter but still not sure about the geometry with all these messy triangles...would the following be accepted as a model in the real gaming industry?

Do you have any concept art or an explanation of exatly what we are looking at?
Otherwise, from my experience triangles are usually fine. You get into more problems with them when you try to put them where the geometry will be deforming.
