I have photoshop 7. I was wondering how much of a difference in quality there is between 7 and CS....I know illustrator is alot better than the previous version (for me, anyway) but wanted to know what some of you folks thought about it. Thanks!:D

I like many of the new features in 8. 16 bit support is bigger, not retarded like 7 and earlier where you cant even have more than 1 layer, let alone an alpha. Support for aspect ratios so you can work on a ntsc image that is .9 aspect ratio while you paint on it. Match color command is awsome for painting textures from multiple photographs. That way I can worry about painting the texture and not about trying to match the color between different angles.

Those are the killer updated features for me. There are many others on the adobe site.

unless you have a specific need that one of the few new CS options solves, I really don't see a huge need to get CS
