For some reason nobody has posted anything about this. I for one really like it. The fur around the bunny's nose and ears looks awesome the way its matted and worn. Great job.

holy cow. if i see that sexy girl on the front page instead of this pic, i'm never coming back here again.

08 August 2004, 09:46 PM
holy...totally awesome

I would have to agree to a point ;]
I like the skillfull portrayal of the female form as much as the next guy, but I would really like to see this nature scene given its due props.
Great work !!

I agree with you Markski, this is too good. The more I look at it the more I like it. The snow and the way the grass comes out of it is awesome. I love the bunny's eyes, very nicely done.

So beautiful.Piece of art.Front page.

Molodec. Ia uvidel tvoi image na Ochen ponravilsia.

front page work, indeed. The polycount in this scene must be enormous. great job on the fur and snow.

08 August 2004, 03:38 AM
Frontpage definitely.
This is a theme to be framed and hanged on a wall. Something that many artists don't realise, they just make a good model and hit the render button. Fortunately you Mars3d are not that kind of artist. :)

08 August 2004, 10:23 AM
Yeah agree..front page material. Very different theme for once. Great work...i really like how the little one is near his Mom!...

08 August 2004, 10:37 AM
I really like it! Their facial expressions show that they are cold so they have to cuddle together to keep warm. The theme gives me a really warm feeling, and I'm quite touched without any reason (mebbe b/c the bunnies are too cute!^_^)

Nice work indeed. :)

i completely agree. even though its up there now, its still better. hell, if you look in the 3D finished works section the picture with the most responses is, you guessed it, a FEMALE! too many female-focused pictures, we need more like this that focus on other parts of nature...the parts that arent human.

aaaww flufy rabbies. i own a bunny.

A great natural image, real still life and character in this picture that looks more like a painting than anything based on a 3D model. Terrific piece of work.

08 August 2004, 12:12 PM
Didn't realize I was in the 3D section of finished work, I thought that the rabbits were painted hehe.
 That's an amazing image. I like the bunny fur alot and the little bunny is so cute. I like the way how he snuggles up against his mother.

Beautiful work! I thought it was all painted by just looking at it.

08 August 2004, 01:12 PM
i was convinced this was painting. This is one the best nature-related renders i've seen in a very long time. Congrats

08 August 2004, 01:47 PM
im still crapping my pants, i coulda swore this was a Finished 2D gallery... not a figgen' 3D piece, wow man; great work!

08 August 2004, 02:09 PM
if you look in the 3D finished works section the picture with the most responses is, you guessed it, a FEMALE! too many female-focused picturesIts always the same. Too many kids playing with 3d or very lonely animators. You've got to get out in the real world and talk to real people/girls or whatever.

You did a great job with the rabbits. It has a nice illustrative feel. Most of the time, people go for cartoons or hyper-realism. Illustrative is what sells in the illustration market(mags, books, etc). It is a great example of using 3d tools to achieve a 2d look.

Some people obviously gave this thread intentionally a realy low rating, without even stating why, which is realy sad. :hmm:

08 August 2004, 05:16 PM
whoa... this looks like a painting,
this render looks real nice... did you use any post-production techniques after you rendered or is this the out-of-the-box render...

anyway this image has touched me in places very few images in this forum ever do...
and I think I like it...hmmm

my favorite part is the orangeish fur around the eyes.... that really adds to the realism

08 August 2004, 05:30 PM
amazing job on the snow too !

can we see a wire ?

08 August 2004, 06:06 PM
Great work on fur and snow. Looks almost like a painting. Very cool picture.

08 August 2004, 07:02 PM
I love it! I love to see more nature work too, I love the fragility and the parenting bond in this piece. The doe's eyes are so expressive and the fur looks so beautiful and real, looks like a turn of the century painting. I am really interested how you melded 3D and 2D together to create such a beautiful painting. I love bunnies and rabbits so I am so biased, lovely work! :)

Wow, really great! Very inspiring...

Hi people.
Thank you for your comments.
I rendered animals and snow Separately.
And then assemble them with photoshop , when i used a little color correction.
For snow i used displacement map, созданную в photoshop.
For fur editing i actively used paint fur attributes.

Thank you again :)

I have no ideas on how did U do it!!!
Is it fur or BumpMap?

This is realy COOL!!!

08 August 2004, 11:08 AM
Thank you Mox&Dana.

It's quite a fine image, but what I really like is the contrast between it and your sig image. The two could not be farther apart.
