...and we need more topics!

Check the spelling. Romanantic should be Romantic. Or is that on purpose?

Ive seen a lot of interesting topics in the sticky, I dont think we're even close to be done with all of them. Or are we? Hmmm.

I've always fancied a man with kitchen skills... it's probably the best choice in the long run, too :P
Paint, 1h15min, drawn with a mouse. Oh, and that's me to the left!

ShrayBun and dgpilot those are great! I was trying figure out a direction and seeing what you both did gave me some fun ideas, thanks for being so inspirational.

Linda Evangelista, I'm working on a drawing in the style of Sorayama, which starts with a pencil sketch then colour is added with water colour and ink, so here's the pencil sketch.

lots of photographic references of course.

2-3 hours, pencil and paper.

Nice one SteveV, can't wait to see it progress!

Here's mine, I'm trying out a new style, kinda having fun with it. I was going for romance as a concept, and I wanted to capture a little naive trashyness. Hope you enjoy!

Oh yeah, pencil on paper, 40 minutes, about 2 hours in Photoshop 5.0 adding character and colour.

Groovy Dargon, the style reminds me of Drew Struzans early work. I love that "easy" coloured pencil style.

...The thing from which romance is made of.

I apologize, the scanner really sucked this one large.
Only a few additions today but they are all quite good!
Dargon, great work on portraying the mood of the scene just through the use of the feet.
SteveV, Great pencil work. very fine.

Sorry I don't have time to enter today, but I had to make a quick comment. The entries are few but all excellent. This is going to be a tough subject to judge :)

Rasdasa: The little dog is what makes it. Excellent.
Dargon: Great idea and great style.

SteveV: Good resemblance.
DGpilot: Good idea and I really like the backlit situation.
ShrayBun: Simple yet very stylish, good entry!

Don't know who or what she is really. Finally I'll have time to draw, I'm very happy.

Great work, Dargon, I like the feel of the blend with the texture.

that's awesome Mr. T! you said you used photoshop, but did you use a tablet also? it seems to exact to be made with a mouse...but what do i know - nothing really.

08-02-2004, 10:20 AM
Yes I use a wacom tablet. I find it impossible to draw with a mouse.
