PS - 2hr

Drumwhore! That's ill funny.. and I noticed the mole hairs on the first glace. GJ. :D

07 July 2004, 01:04 AM
Sometimes ugliness can be on the inside. Sometimes nobody would know it was there.

Pencil for about an hour and a quarter, then colouring in photoshop 5.0 for about an hour.

EDIT: Spent a little more time on this, a little less than an hour, all in PS. Had some good luck on going for a watercolour look and pencil crayon look. Here's ( the previous version if you want to see it.

07 July 2004, 01:08 AM
Here's a photmanip I did of a buddyette.

manip - 1hr

Hehe cute pictures!!!

Here's mine... photoshop cs w/ tablet.. about 1 or 2 hours.. I think (lost track of my time.. sorry :/ )

It's the opposite.. just like that story about a swan who is surrounded by all the ducks who thinks that swan is very ugly when it's actually beautiful. Hehehe.. hope u like it!

P.S. Sorry.. no time to comment everybody's images. :( But good sketches.. always love to see other sketches. :D

07 July 2004, 04:46 AM
It's tough being the ugly sister...

Man, I really want a (working) scanner, I had some great ideas but couldn't implement them due to my complete lack of ability to sketch in PS. Poor excuse however, and I'm still trying. ah well - 30 mins w/ WACOM

I really think Drumwhore nailed it, as most people seem to agree - nice job!

07 July 2004, 04:51 AM
drumwhore my hat goes off to you sir. your use of color rocks... and the image itself is great. keep on keepin on.

07 July 2004, 05:02 AM
Andyman: if you look carefully, there is already one ;) it is not very visible cause I reduced the pic size..

Oh oh I see it. Hah...

I had a similar idea to Dreammaster (I think it was an old Twilight Zone episode maybe)...a bit different angle, and more of a fairy tale type situation.

Wish I could do beautiful as well as I do ugly.

Photoshop/wacom. 3 hours.

Amazing stuff so far.

07 July 2004, 01:16 PM
I'd just like to sat that you guys make this look easy, which it is far from.
First picture on the computer ever, Wacom/ArtRage/1hr

Her nose and lips sort of mix together.........

Oh that's where it came from! I knew it was from a source, but I couldn't think of what! Ah! Yes! :D Loved that concept! :D Rod Serling/Mother Goose...pretty much the same thing. ;)

Love your sketch... much better than mine! :D Nah, I think you got me beat! Nice concept, Great color pallette, tons of energy and lots of attitude. Awesome work! I think I accidently got a little to close to the Precious Moments/ Velvet paintings genre this time around. But that's why I get another shot today, right?! :)

07 July 2004, 11:52 AM

or alternitavly,

about 10 minutes to draw (be sure to check the sketch) and like... half an hour or and hour to paint and scan and stuff. im goonna stop drawing with rows soon, really.
