View Full Version : Sci-fi Workshop

Hello, i recently started to model some sci-fi stuff , and came up with an idea to make a workshop, the place to upgrade/enchance your machines. when i was about a half in way to finish it, i realized it's a bit empty:sad: . i modeled a mechanical hand that would pick up some containers( i didn't put it in the scene yet), but it's still not enough. i then thinked about some hole in the ground, and a total change of the atmosphere in my scene.
By the way, are there any pages where i can get some sci-fi inspiration?:)

Hey, I'm just wondering what type of atmosphere you are going for? It sort of has a slight dark/scary atmosphere to it, like something out of Aliens (if you get my drift). If that is the case, maybe have some debris hanging from the roof, have a slight crack in the wall, etc and maybe shelving or storage type of furniture.

its a bit to texture depenant, add some more geometry.
but nice textured! you are sure getting the look and feel right!

for inspiration, id suggest looking at images of mechanics garages / auto-shops, anime (appleseed). you might want to add a really big screen on one of the walls (allways looks good) or a caged-off area full of replacement parts. dont forget to add plenty of dirt! haha!
