Dang - thats some good CG!
No comments at all - faultless!
Really beautiful face, and excellent design and detail.

Thanks for the really generous sized renders
All your work amazes me - more! more!

You should def get front page for this!

07-16-2004, 08:35 AM
Wow GJ! Though I did notice some low-polyness in her extra long hair but I gues it doesn't matter =)

Nice amount of details and she does actually look cute ;)

Oh yeah and the style resembles a lot of the work in www.soanala.com (http://www.soanala.com/)
Have you perhaps contributed to soanala galleries sometimes? :o

07-16-2004, 08:39 AM
I'm not very fond of the style. It's cute. However it's clean and works very well.

07-16-2004, 10:01 AM
Wow! Amazing! That's the best 3d anime character I've ever seen. The other characters on your site are also very good.

07-16-2004, 10:01 AM

07-16-2004, 10:25 AM
simply amazing... I have no words, just as usual with your stunning characters. Can you please tell us how long it takes you to create such a detailed image from concept to rendering ?

07-16-2004, 10:39 AM
just good! :o)

07-16-2004, 10:53 AM
stunning work here ;)
maybe the contrast between model and background is a bit too hard (this white). I would render a one with a more greyish/blueish tone.
But no crit on the model. Awesome | 5 stars

07-16-2004, 10:54 AM
beautiful !! beautiful !! beautiful !! beautiful !! beautiful !!

07-16-2004, 11:02 AM
Simply Great, but somehow I like the non textured version even more... sounds strange I know ;)

07-16-2004, 11:23 AM
 Whole lot of detail... nice work.

Lighting makes it look a bit artificial, which it is of course. But softer shadows would have made look even better I think.

WIRES!!! :scream:

07-16-2004, 11:49 AM
As great as it is, i think that the cape would benefit from being a different colour - the body would be easier to make out then. I think thats why some people thought that the untextured image was better - the contours and shapes are easier to make out.

and, yes - some wires would be great

07-16-2004, 12:05 PM
wow!!too great!

07-16-2004, 12:12 PM
What a womderful work

07-16-2004, 12:23 PM
Very beautiful.

07-16-2004, 12:50 PM

godlike again :)

i wish i'll be able to see a wire from your work :)

07-16-2004, 02:35 PM
Damn near flawless.

07-16-2004, 02:36 PM
Oh My God!!!! This is the most detailed 3d anime character i've ever seen!! It's cute and very clean model! A wired post would be nice.. (Suggestion: I think the background should be dark color)

07-16-2004, 03:10 PM
very cool
can you post more?

07-16-2004, 03:37 PM
Im afraid to ask, but, could you post wires? incredible work, final fantasy calibur.

07-16-2004, 03:49 PM
I love all of your works. And I can see that you've jumped to another level compare to the last one. Gosh, i must work harder now. And i must meet more Korean friends. Any Korean here is from vancouver????

07-16-2004, 04:02 PM
Bloody excellent ! Superb modelling and texture work. She has a very cute face and the pose is very dynamic. Her outfit design is awesome.

One thing bugs me tho'...those three anklets seem to be sticking out unnaturally to the side...I would think they should be leaning against her leg/foot. Other then that..brilliant work.

07-16-2004, 04:12 PM
just perfect, everything...

07-16-2004, 05:03 PM
Very impresive work... Flawless... !!!
The details are stunning...
The girl's so cute...
It's completely fantastic...

Was it modeled in ZBRUSH ?
Can we see wire ???

07-16-2004, 05:33 PM
Spectacular! :) :)

07-16-2004, 05:42 PM
Very ornamental, IMO i would choose to lower spec on the costume details. but dont listen to me...it's great work.

I could almost hear all the noise she makes when she is animated

07-16-2004, 06:37 PM
hmpf - showoff.. :D Excellent work.
Arms and legs are a bit long, but I guess that comes down to style.

07-16-2004, 07:27 PM
dude, that is F*#%ing sweet, i love it all man, must have more:buttrock:

07-16-2004, 08:20 PM

07-17-2004, 02:12 AM
Man I love your work and style

I can never wait until you post up a new series of images, and a new wallpaper

Your meshes are so clean it really complements the anime stlye.

One thing I would like to see is possibly a new approch to your designs,
Ousters and Puchelle have a seemelar resemblance in the face and elements like the long flowing hair and the beads have been reused in the images, with the same approch of having the model beeing blown by a hair dryer.

Anyway, 5 stars none the less.

07-17-2004, 02:14 AM
holy ****... i love this... sigh im stupid for asking cuz i didnt read n e of the comments... i was to b z looking at ur CG skillz... but umm what prog are u using? MAX? or MAYA? i recently got MAYA and im following the manual book and im getting the hang of it... hopefully ill be able to model in maya as i you are doing at this moment. Thx for the works you inspire me.

07-17-2004, 04:06 AM

Amazing work, how many time you spent?

07-17-2004, 05:46 AM
dang dude! i don't post but yeah this is a really tight piece that catches the eye of both non cg guys and us cg buffs (it gets the "oohh pretty drawing" and the "cool design and execution" reactions). i also really like the progression in your works from your site (and yeah, i'mma sucker when it comes to the hot cg girls).

07-17-2004, 11:09 AM

Ahn-nyung ha shim ni ka.

Gam sa ham ni da - 3D jar na hwat sum ni da.

07-18-2004, 09:08 AM
Wow, that is a lot of detail - the amount of effort with ala those details is really comendable. I think my one problem with this image is that it is busy to the point of being messy. I think scaling back on the details, and perhaps unifying it a bit more with color would help to make this character more solid. Still, it's a beautiful from a modelling standpoint alone.

07-18-2004, 09:19 AM
Thats absolute, 100% unadulterated ass-kicking brilliance.

The armor, it's so beautiful.

The staff is absolutely gorgeous, looks powerful!

This character is brilliant.

Beautiful, beautiful work.

Yoou are a genious.

But, if you don't mind me asking.

How long have you been working with CG, and what program did you use?

This character reminds me of 'Rose' from "The legend of dragoon"....which i LOVED!

07-18-2004, 09:34 AM
unbelievable, how long did it take?

07-18-2004, 09:40 AM
Exactly my thoughts...it must have taken ages.
Very good tho. Could it be adapted for an animation?

07-18-2004, 10:50 AM
Thank you~^^

Program : max5 , Photoshop CS ,v-ray , illusion
It takes a month.
And it use for 3D illustration.^^*

V-ray render option :

07-18-2004, 11:04 AM

07-18-2004, 01:01 PM
Very beautiful work. How many polys? Care to post a wireframe?

07-18-2004, 01:30 PM
hku64... your other work is just awesome aswell, how long have you been doing CG?

07-18-2004, 01:56 PM
brilliant , full of details and fantastic modeled.I love the gray renders .the great work in the volume can be seen in this ones:thumbsup:

07-18-2004, 02:03 PM
Very nice model overall but I agree with comments such as the background really taking some importance away from the model, not being able to spot out the really good details easily enough. At a first glance, the localized low-polyness is pretty hard to spot but when you start taking a closer look at areas such as the hair and the scepter, its almost amateur's modelling work compared to the res of the model, which is pretty flawless.

Seeing the detail you managed to give to the body and clothes, I would STRONGLY suggest you remodel those parts that have unusual surface warping and folding that needs a few more polis squeezed in there.

Other than that, very good piece! Right up my street!

07-18-2004, 02:30 PM
Beautiful piece of work. So detailed and creative. Very nice style.

btw. hku64 said it took a month to create.

07-18-2004, 02:40 PM
very nice that's a lot of detail..wow !

07-18-2004, 02:50 PM
I really look forward to see the image, but it seems your website is down... :( Could you pleaaase fix it?! :buttrock:

07-18-2004, 02:59 PM
um... wow... I wish there was a smilie that showed his jaw falling to the floor. You should post that on the vray forum. Would be nice to see stuff other then arch vis all the time :)

07-18-2004, 03:28 PM
I am so Speechless
Great work !

07-18-2004, 03:44 PM
Amazing work.

I would like to give a crit in regards to the ornaments and extra things. I think from the artistic point of view, these extra golden things takes off from her beautyness.

This doesn't say anything about being wrong or good, its just simply taste.
I would picture her as my girlfriend, and I would tell her, "baby what the hell is all those little golden things? We're going to a dinner, not to a carnaval"

however, this crit might be completely unrelevant in regards to this thread, but oh well.
its a crit.

07-18-2004, 03:58 PM
nice anime style work buddy ^^

07-18-2004, 04:18 PM

07-18-2004, 04:44 PM
 uawuh

great work

07-18-2004, 04:54 PM

all to say that its not (his style) many asians do the same style in 3D
there is no creativity, just details and add more details to impress.

07-18-2004, 04:59 PM
AWESOME work!!!!

Love all that crazy ass detail.....!!!

07-18-2004, 05:19 PM
mama mia :bounce:

07-18-2004, 05:33 PM
I asume that was modeled to pose, or did you pose her afterwards? If it was modeled to pose, how would you go about setting that up for aniamtion? Or I guess that wasn't the goal here.
good work, nice detail. Personaly I'd love to see work like this aniamted or setup to aniamte , I hardly ever do. Its a shame with somthing that looks like it needs to be alive.

07-18-2004, 05:49 PM

Which was your modeling technique?

07-18-2004, 05:54 PM
all to say that its not (his style) many asians do the same style in 3D
there is no creativity, just details and add more details to impress. So are you implying there is NO creativity involved in creating those details? Thats almost like comparing it to Poser work! I mean, c'mon! The guy got mad skills and you got to hand it to him.
I never get tired of Anime style but I do admit that its a bit overdone in general, although anything that goes out of Manga/Anime ranges in terms of aesthetics (huge dresses, loads of layers of details, ornaments, jewelry, weapons, batons, scepters, etc...) usually is unapealing according to the style's standards IMO.

07-18-2004, 06:51 PM
Lots and lots of wow from me.

07-18-2004, 07:02 PM
I like your model alot, the details are nice.

07-19-2004, 04:37 AM
Is it any wonder S. Korean CG artists are my favorite in the world? :D...Must...not...insult...

Huh I thought this was japanese, guess I should pay more attention. But there is a lot of cultural exchange going on there.

Looks very nice, like Final Fantasy without all the bad fashion statements. Almost makes me want to quit modeling it's fairly intimidating. I didn't read the whole thread what's the poly count?

07-19-2004, 04:55 AM
Hey it's cool .....

guys doing this stuff have such an amount of tiiiiiime!!!!

07-19-2004, 02:29 PM
Whoa, that's some pretty cool character design. I like the ornate design that's on the clothing and objects, it adds a lot of detail and character to the figure.

07-19-2004, 02:29 PM
That is truely magical.

07-19-2004, 03:13 PM
all to say that its not (his style) many asians do the same style in 3D
there is no creativity, just details and add more details to impress.
How can you say so. I'd say all the american super hero style are the same. No creativity at all.

07-19-2004, 04:31 PM
Respect to you my friend!
Nothing to critic I love every pixel!
My new desktop background!

Keep stuff coming man!

07-19-2004, 07:39 PM

07-19-2004, 08:51 PM
Like your previous works, this is fantastic as well.
I knew it's you when I saw this work on the front page.=)
But now i am wondering if there is any reason you to make all the same faces over and over but in different dresses?
If there is no specific reason on that, i would love to see this kinda great works with different faces and gender.
btw, it's really really great. =)

07-19-2004, 09:05 PM
Absolutely stunning!

07-19-2004, 09:12 PM

i would also like to what kind of world she live in

good job

07-20-2004, 01:24 AM
How can you say so. I'd say all the american super hero style are the same. No creativity at all.Right, Hell Boy, Doom Patrol, and Super Man were all cut from the same cloth.
Actually I thought this was done by a japanese artist so whoever said that isn't wrong. It's still beautiful...

Great work man, like always!

I'm want to model and texture and ligth and... like you

07-20-2004, 01:49 AM
Like your previous works, this is fantastic as well.
I knew it's you when I saw this work on the front page.=)
But now i am wondering if there is any reason you to make all the same faces over and over but in different dresses? That's exactly that im trying to say... the face style is been over used here. i know the face style is cute like many anime girls out there but honestly i would love to see someone who have enough imagination to create another style of oriental female face then this one. I always see the same style on very single demo reels here.

I love the clothes and all but too much golden stuff for my taste. anyways the body is exelent but un-animable. also those metalic things at her feet wont make it animable. great pose. true.

i think you should work more at her hair.. add textures instead of materials... but i understand you dont have time and that your doing this to impress peoples to get a job as modeler (too many modelers that only the best is choosen in the continent)

07-20-2004, 03:25 AM
Wow.. definitely great work here.. though i find it kind of went overboard on the complexity of the clothing decals made it appear "messy and destracting". But still, it's jaw-dropping. I'm a fan for life :)

i do not know about 3D illustration, what is it? could you tell me?

It's an amazing project. How long did it take to get it done?

07-20-2004, 04:53 AM
Have a look at hku64's website, I'd say this guy not only has a job but is in big demand. He has skills and is probably more driven than most people. He happens to just love doing his job and putting up his work every now and then for us all to share since we like to talk about it so much... Personally my fave is his very first post done last year. Oh yeah the face is different to the other models, same style but definately modelled from scratch.

Also if you look at his other stuff you'll know he animates them also when he needs to. Not only that he edits his own animations using combustion! what a freak!

well done!

07-20-2004, 08:03 AM
That's great!!!

07-20-2004, 12:05 PM
she is very beautifull, amazing, high details work, can a girl like her in reality.
pls. advice me how can i make this type of models.
what is the steps to follow to model like this.

very good....very good.....very good work.
i can't sleep tonight...very nice image.

You have consistently delivered some of the most breath-taking pieces of CG
art that I have ever had the pleasure to see. Thank you for sharing your website -
it had even more pieces to enjoy.

This is Amazing work all around -- the overall the cleanliness an intense detailing
you always add to your pieces really push them over the top.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!

07-20-2004, 09:52 PM
wow, a absolutelly fantastic work, pal.
very impressive :applause: :applause:

07-21-2004, 01:29 AM
...of the piece is astounding. I usualy opt for a certain high level of complexity but this is jaw dropping.

07-21-2004, 04:58 AM
I say holy smokes that's amazing. Don't think anything else needs to be said about that other then quite amazing!!! Very impressed........

07-21-2004, 07:26 AM
wow! my god !its so good,i like it very much!

[...]the face style is been over used here. i know the face style is cute like many anime girls out there but honestly i would love to see someone who have enough imagination to create another style of oriental female face then this one. I always see the same style on very single demo reels here.[...] i think it is most a personal choice than anything else. No limitation about imagination i think... Hku64 can't add more details on her face because it will remove purity from the form considering his esthetic line. But i understand someone could suppose he models sometimes character very close each other :) Personnaly, i think increasing a bit the details on the face should be great without losting the estheticism.
Nice work Hku64, great model, i don't really like the blue light but it is my personal opinion. Perhaps more different materials would be great like ivory on the sceptre, or anything different than all these metallic things. The rendering seems to me a bit like old rendering without gi perhaps because the white background and the very synthetic materials...i don't know. huh, i think i'll stop here or that won't be anymore your style lol

07-21-2004, 12:20 PM
nice i like it very very!!!!!!!

07-21-2004, 07:05 PM
wow she is very very nice the image is exploding at me.

07-21-2004, 07:37 PM
Nice work
Can you tell us how much time you spend to complete this ?
Nice work.

Best Regards

His work doesn't fit your taste. Some artists do 1 single style in their entire life and yes, it is always good to try something else. However, it doesn't always fit to everybody. I am more of an asian style. Anykind of work which is done by either japanese, korean or chinese will amaze me (those good ones that i am talking about, not the cheesy works). In contrast, I don't like american super heros. Their style don't buy me at all. Not only the look, even the characteristic, power... etc so simmular. Especially that Captain America guy. I think Wolfarine can kick his ass badly. Becuase at least he looks a little different than another other super heros.

Re: HapZungLam.

Captin America is a decent man - he saved the world, dammit - we owe everything to him!

And a message to Wolverine - "Get yer'air'cut!" :p

07-21-2004, 08:48 PM
??? has a good point, but this style so cool, wheeew, I can't get over it myself ;)..

Which superhero doesn't save the world...

07-22-2004, 06:28 PM
Re: HamZungLam.

Yeah, so true...

Imagine being at a SuperHero industry event!

"Well, I started off coming to the rescue of old ladies! But I don't seem to be making strides with career progression..."

"Rescuing old Ladies? **** that - Stop a bank robbery! That way, you get maximum exposure!"

"I'm sorry but that is just absolute bull****. Don't listen to him - he don't know what he's talking about...you have to stop the large evil-master-mind-created city-destroyers from stomping the neighbour-hood! The people will love you...and you'll get front page."

"Are you ****ing stupid or what!? You do that and the law will mistake you for the criminal responsable! My ****ing life..."

"Do you know how to get into the X-men school? I hear you need some rather hot qualifications..."

"No, you don't - you just need a good demo-reel to show off your crime-fighting skills..."

"How do I go about making that?"

"Read the sticky on the general discussions forum on www.SHTalk.com..."

07-22-2004, 07:52 PM
:deal:Boone you have over 3K post, do all of them make such little sense?

08-03-2004, 05:32 AM
Wow, this is one of the best 3d anime characters I have seen. SUperb work. Super detail. I give it 20 thumbs up. How long did it take you?

08-03-2004, 06:09 AM
The essence however of american styles are the one of the superhero that alone saves the world. The one powerful strong man with incredible strength. Characters such as spiderman contradict this trend by giving the hero very charismatic human qualities that makes us better relate and identify with him. Thats why personally I always prefered spiderman over lets say superman etc.
The essence in asian character design, lead by japanese manga and anime styles is that the characters are real humans and often much more detailed and in my opinion much more interesting because of this. I grew up with marvel but got a snack of japanese anime too from time to time and I liked the snack better.
If I am not mistaken superman as well as captain america were born when USA was at war and when people needed heros. Idealised good against pure evil was what people needed in a time when all sides of the war were doing evil.
Ok I might have gotten off track here. He he...

when I first looked at your work, I think it is the best work I have seen yet in my life, but I managed see that Luna's nose is a little unbalanced, the nostrums on the right is slightly bigger than the left, giving Luna one glech, otherwise I say it is perfect, I can't wait to see your other work

bart dude
10-07-2004, 09:35 AM
continuing from the comment I made earlier, the tones of the facial content, even though the tone may be the cause, but the darkness of the rones have already told me that when the outlines of the work was first drawn, the nose already is unbalanced.

11-08-2004, 08:33 AM
Wow her costume is amazing  That must of taken a long take to make o_o; very good! I'd like to see alot more of your work ^^

11-09-2004, 10:20 AM

12-15-2004, 03:25 AM
wow... awesome stuff

i can see how ??? said it wasn't creative. I do know that japan and korea use this exact style over and over again.... but who cares. Im not tired of it, and as long as its pleasing to the eye, all's swell. besides, isn't that the main point of art?

man the animations on his site are really something. .... i love this final fantasy feeling it gives me. i get the goosebumps.... its awesome.

Amazing design and great attention to detail. Only thing I do not like is the obvious 'hentai/manga' inspiration...legs look too long for the character. But this is only me I guess!

Maybe, it would have been even better if you had given more detail in the skin texture...does look plasticy...but it still is a super rendition!
