Flawless as always Ribin

07 July 2004, 11:25 PM
This is perfect, don't see anything wrong with this one:thumbsup:

07 July 2004, 11:33 PM
Very nice, it looks like there are two sun/light sources though? The left front seems to catch one, and then the rear right (from hdri map?) it appears. Either way, it looks really nice

07 July 2004, 11:38 PM
very nice!!! A wire maybe?Unsmoothed please

07 July 2004, 12:01 AM
The car looks fantastic! Comp a driver in and motionblur the wheels and you'll be set! Being that it's on the open road and looks to be leaning to the outside gives me the impression that it should be moving. The lack of a driver (unless this model is self-driving :D ) and, of course, no motion blur on the wheels is disrupting the illusion for me.

07 July 2004, 12:02 AM
wow nice work

07 July 2004, 12:15 AM
Flawless as always Ribin

yep... jeez, i thought ur gone ;)

07 July 2004, 12:38 AM

07 July 2004, 01:02 AM
This is perfect, don't see anything wrong with this one:thumbsup:

No driver. :scream:

07 July 2004, 01:14 AM
At first I was looking for your render, then realized that your reference picture was your render... :scream:

Can you post a wire?!

07 July 2004, 01:18 AM
Wonderful job man. However something is bothering me.The left front wheel's shadow looks kinda weird. Car looks like its floating instead of huggin the road. I'm thinking you may have used a bit too much blur. Other than that it's tops.:D

07 July 2004, 02:34 AM
excellent model! looks great, can u post the wire plz? and what's it like to model in studio, or auto studio? Just wanna know how does it compare with Rhino, it it any better?

07 July 2004, 02:56 AM
simply gorgeous!

07 July 2004, 03:04 AM
*scoops jaw off floor*

Amazing job. simply fantastic.

07 July 2004, 03:14 AM
After 20 minutes of staring at this I am finally able to pull myself away long enough to tell you that I am going to go stare at this some more. Great job.

07 July 2004, 04:27 AM
perhaps there's no motion blur and no driver because the car isn't moving...

07 July 2004, 05:00 AM
wew simply nice.
some wires perhaps?

07 July 2004, 06:43 AM
so good..... i am jealous~~~

07 July 2004, 06:49 AM
Hey this is too much cgtalk should ban ppl who are posting pictures and claiming them to be 3d ... hahaha kidding... jokes aside freaking awesome work...

07 July 2004, 07:04 AM
 really nice work and great lightening

07 July 2004, 07:08 AM
Hi good job even if the audi is not the cars most difficult to modelize not as difficult as Lamborghini i speak about to capture the lines ...of the body ...

have you modelized the interiore ?

07 July 2004, 07:38 AM
stunning... :buttrock:

07 July 2004, 08:08 AM
When I saw the thumbnail on the frontpage I told myself oh it must be ribin,
and I was right...

Perfect work ribin!

07 July 2004, 08:14 AM
All many thanks for good comments.

Studio Tools it is much more complex{difficult} than Rhino 3d.
ST builds more correctly surfaces. BUT atRhinovery convenient interface.

07 July 2004, 08:42 AM
Excellent. Nothing else to say :)

07 July 2004, 08:43 AM
mmmmmmmm A class surfacing

I guess if your using StudioTools you work in the automotive industry?

For thoes who don't know what StudioTools is, its a purely a nurbs modeller used for making high quality surfaces for manufacture. Its also got some nice sketching and reverse engineering tools. Its mainly used buy the automotive heavy weights and its pretty expensive.

07 July 2004, 08:43 AM that landscape italian..or Am i Wrong?

07 July 2004, 08:50 AM
re: I guess if your using StudioTools you work in the automotive industry?

No, I do not work in the industry.

On this model I studied studio tools.

07 July 2004, 08:50 AM

One of the most photo-realistic renders I've ever seen.

07 July 2004, 08:57 AM
Superb, maybe the color of the car should be desaturated juuuuust a little bit...

07 July 2004, 09:36 AM
Well, been on your website and had a look at all your cars and they are all very impressive.

This is a fantastic level of quality.

Would you mind to tell, how much time you spent into that car and how the lighting was done?

07 July 2004, 10:08 AM
Simply perfect Ribin,

All your cars are extremly good. I really don´t know where you are going to stop with this growing level. Open your onwn company man.!!!!!!

Great work. Really amazing !

07 July 2004, 12:24 PM
Very good job as always.
You're a master in car modeling.

07 July 2004, 12:25 PM
stunning work.

perfect modelling, perfect lighting and great compositingbut you know this for yourslef :) .

Did you used Blend Curves or is it done by using normal cv curves to create the main surface curves. It also would be interesting to see some screens from your modelling progress and how you have gone through the process.

bye Crea

07 July 2004, 12:47 PM
Wow.!!! Absolutely stunning model, as is the comp.

Well done

07 July 2004, 01:05 PM
Nice work.
Can i see a wire....

Best Regards

07 July 2004, 02:47 PM
That's just awesome!! never seen such a compositing work. Everything is perfect according to me

07 July 2004, 03:15 PM
Just great! You're one of the best car modeler! The only thing wich disturbs me is the missing driver in the 2nd image. I often saw images with driving cars but without a driver and it looks allways somehow strange. :)

07 July 2004, 03:25 PM
there shouldn't be any motion blur on the wheel in the 2nd render.

and like someone else pointed out, there's no driver. Aside from those 2 things, these renders are absolutley beautiful. Nice work.

07 July 2004, 03:27 PM

Very nice work indeed, impressed with the model, the lighting and the compositing.

Two thumbs up

07 July 2004, 04:55 PM
In the second image the lighting is a little soft and the windows are missing some important rflections and refractions from the suroundings.

I would love to see a wire frm.

Cheers keep up the amazing work.

Great work.

Can you explain your process of transferring the model to 3dsmaxs via Maya?

07 July 2004, 05:16 PM
Your model does my favorite car justice. Bravo!

07 July 2004, 05:20 PM

07 July 2004, 06:01 PM
Many thanks to all!

I have applied wire and black-and-white variants on the first page.

07 July 2004, 07:48 PM
Perfect again Ribin, it looks even more perfect than your last models :D

Really enjoying your work.

there shouldn't be any motion blur on the wheel in the 2nd render.
Yes there should :) , it's there in pictures as well.

07 July 2004, 07:52 PM
Flawless as always Ribin

exactly what im thinking

07 July 2004, 09:31 PM
wow is all i can say....

that first pic is breathtaking :applause:

07 July 2004, 10:28 PM
great model and render! something about the wheels though in the second render I'm not liking... I love your grey renders the best! Great job

07 July 2004, 11:03 PM
Looks almost foto realistic, maybe if you'd add some grain to the paintjob. It looks kind of glossy to me

But the model is really sweet, nothing to comment on that

07 July 2004, 12:37 AM
one of the best car renderings i've seen for a long time
and the model is perfect

07 July 2004, 12:39 AM
Is by far one of the best cg cars I've ever seen...

Keep the good work

07 July 2004, 08:48 AM
:scream: so its true that our german cars won`t even get their license Plate changed when they are over in russia

great work , one of the best i`ve seen so far :buttrock:

07 July 2004, 09:06 AM
WOW!!Very great works!:applause:
Did you make it use Polygon tools??

07 July 2004, 09:37 AM
Just wanted to say, that some people should stop their dumb nitpicking. I think these renders are so accurate. If these Images were placed somewhere on the Audi website you wouldn't even notice that they are computer generated.

This level of quality is very rare IMHO

07 July 2004, 03:29 PM
well I give up...;)

07 July 2004, 06:22 PM
can you show a wire from rhinoceros ??

07 July 2004, 07:45 PM
wonderfull as allways ribin,....

07 July 2004, 02:19 AM
you forgot to model the conductor :)

07 July 2004, 03:33 AM
:bounce: .............................

07 July 2004, 05:09 AM
Very NICE!!! I love the detail and volume in it. The color is awesome and the montage of the real wheat is perfect for the color of the car. AWESOME work

07 July 2004, 05:25 AM

07 July 2004, 05:27 AM
Even though there are so many replies, I feel like replying anyways. I think this is the most photorealistic car render I have ever seen, especially the first one. The modeling, lighting, and composition is unbelievable. I mean, I've seen cars before, and been like 'Oh damn that is some sweet modeling' or 'that's awesome lighting it looks almost like a photo,' but with this I was thinking 'Ok, nice photograph, now where's the CG?' Probably the most photorealistic render I've ever seen.

07 July 2004, 02:50 PM
very nice!!!:)

07 July 2004, 04:04 PM
Oh please Ribin do like some tricked out render of a Lada. That would be hilarious.

Awesome work. Somehow the sunset lighting just adds to the overall magic of this piece. Simply amazing.

07 July 2004, 07:27 PM
i m p r e s i o n a n t e ! ! !

07 July 2004, 09:20 AM

07 July 2004, 10:12 AM

07 July 2004, 05:55 AM
This is unbelievably believable work, if you get my drift. :D

07 July 2004, 11:51 PM
If I say It's amaizing it will be not enough.. so.. I dunno words to describe it.

07 July 2004, 10:16 PM
It's absolutely lovely! I'd like to see little film grain in the car to marry it in better though...

07 July 2004, 08:22 AM
I like the modeling and the rendering.
Really nice work.

10 October 2004, 02:00 PM
