Done in Photoshop 7, using only the airbrush, dodge, burn, blur, and the text tools. Took 30 minutes, comments?

Hmm, anything, any comments, anything to work on, anything, anything at all?

a Little too dark for tranquility, and a bit grainy.

The tree doesn't look like it's got leaves as much as moss growing from the branches. Painting a photoreal tree is tough enough without making it a speedpaint. Few things to keep in mind:
Branches grow from the tree trunk in all directions, not just left right and up.
Leaves don't grow directly from large branches, but from the thinner twig-like branches that shoot off the bigger ones. Also, these twiggy branches can shoot off at any point along the length of a branch.
At this distance, you should be able to see individual leaves.
Wonder why is the sky is black. Is that irony, given your "Tranquility" title. Not being sarcastic, just curious. Hope this helps.
