This is my new project for a 30sec movie.
This girl is armored with a giant big machine hand.

Pretty nice design. The underwear there are kind of scant. I would probably add some more design there, I personally would continue the giant mechanical arm theme there.

Wire frames? and the cocnext of your 3o second piece would be nice

It's nice Kenny, but let's see wires and close ups !

Leave it as is.....

Come on texture her up :bounce:

Thank you for the comment!!! :)

However, it will take more time to texture her up, becoz I have to make a high-rez of her to generate a normal map. So there is a lot of work.... I am wondering if zbrush will make a good job for human anatomy.... If anyone know plz provide me some advice... thx you!!!

...that is the question. It's funny cause I can always tell the female models that were done by guys. They always have considerably... less clothing.

Looks great though. You're quick too. Wish I had the speed.

Heh heh. indeed. Well my main reasonf or saying, is that what with the metal arm it looks like she'll be doing some action, fighting, or other stuff that a single piece of underwear would scarcely serve for. We were taught in character design class to make design decisions based on how convincing it makes the character, and their environment.

IF her environment is some sort of futuristic battle dome where participants are forced to fight for their lives, and endure skimpy clothing, then hell yes, it's even almost poignant for her to have to put up with such silliness in a life or death situation.

On the other hand design must have a sense of the inexplicably cool. But that is a personal issue one can't really comment on.

Nice concept!!
Looking forward to seeing her finished!

-the_podman: Thank you for the comment first, actually i think girls should be sexy and attractive, so this is y the design. hehe

-Jody Sol: Actually you are right... I am still thinking of what the hell the big metal arm's main purpose is on... >.< However, the big arm stand for power, and the girl is so minor and sexy... So i thought this will make a good contrast of her... And you are almost right, i am doing a 30sec video which take place in a futurist place and fighting with a gang of enemies (you know some jumping and air fighting will involve)... Well, I haven't start the storyboard yet.... :P So do you have any more rules for the character design that you can share with me? I will really appreciate.

-MRAY: I think i have to work 1 more week for the high rez resolution, becoz i want her to have a normal map. But i will do it as fast i can. :P Thank you
Actually the design isn't really final, becoz i think i should work more on the details of the arm... and what kind of color and material should i use on her... Well, still doing research... hehe Thx for the comment guys! More screenshot of her will be on in 3 days... :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Well, haven't post for a longtime because i was optimizing the mesh and the form... So here is the high rez version for the normal mapping. It is 60% done, i am modeling the clothing right now... And i am about to recreate the big arm, i want to make it to has a more mechanical feeling

She's starting to look pretty good! I'd work on her hair a little more, though, make some more strangs so it doesnt's look like big rectangles.

I think he's gonna do some alpha maps, am I right? so in the end it probably won't look like rectangles. I think he just modeled them that way to save on poly count. Hair is my most dreaded area to texture.

Finally, with all the efforts, I am posting a 75% done of my character Naomi, comments are welcome... I have been working on this model about 2 months... And is used as school project for my demo reel for applying a job... So far, it has 3326 triangles.

Well, i know there is something wrong with the clothes... And i am trying to figure out what kind of color should i put...

What clothes? I don't see any. LOL. Seriously, though. Textures are looking excellent! The color works ok for me. It may be too fluorensent for some ppl, though. Wonder where she keeps her wallet.

Looking pretty much done to me, but still looking forward to further updates.
