Great piece. It amazes me how some people can shell out work this good in less than a day.
(I love the star in the background)

nice render I like the Lighting ,simple but good...
06 June 2004, 06:47 PM
Very nice and fine colors. And yes the star in the background is so sweet.

Nicely done, mate!
I think that the cd-player looks pretty much photo-real more or less.
Whats bugging me is that the three blocks in the background doesn't look as realistic as the cd-player and that is probably what gives it away.
But still, lookin ace :)

Very nice image! Could you tell us about the lighting? Did you just go with the HDR and no extra lights, or...?
I'd also love to see the wire - I'm really digging this image, great work! :)

i made a hdri map for another scene so i just used that, no other lights
here is the wire
its a simple scene not really hard modelling, cause i was bored :Dhttp://www.max3d.org/upload/cd.jpg

Really, really nice one! Got one last question: What was the render time for this shot?
06 June 2004, 07:29 PM
it took about an 1 hr i think
but i have a dual xeon 3.06 4 gig ram blah blah, this allowed me to set the settings high enough to look goo. hope this helps
