Looks nice, maybe a different color on the snakes? If they are supposed to be alive.

like the design, but not sure about the image. is that thing hanging off the blade supposed to be hard and sticking straight out or is it like string and should be hanging? it just threw me off a bit when i first looked at it. but just for showing off the actual model and design i guess it doesn't matter. nice textures too, good job.

will you be making a character to use this weapon or is this just a still??

Zhai Tian-Feng, the snakes are not alive, is a hand-crafted weapon, made with wood, metals, gems, etc.
sempiternal , the thing hanging off will have the correct gravity and chain/rope hanging style for the final image, as you said, this image is only to show the model, (btw, I`m bad making final images).
RockmanZero, is for a still with a character, but the character will be made with less quality, because is a little hard for me make mage cloths, right now, I`m making the cloth of the character. (I have the head and the weapon) only left the cloth, the hands and the background.
I really happy to see your opinions, thanks to all for the nice comments!

hi again, I added a new detail view:

Nice weapon. The design on the head is cool and its a very clean render.
One thing bugs me though. The wood on the shaft seems new and rather polished whereas the metal on the head seems old and slightly rusted.
Also maybe try thickening up the shaft a little ... it seems kind of flimsy, like it would break if it were used as a weapon.
Otherwise, nice stuff =)

wow how many polys does that have? :P
make a sword ;) i think you're gona be pretty good at it XD

Id also agree that the wooden handle is to polished compared to the rest off the staff.. it does look like it has been in some hefty situations :)
Also the snakes are barely visible on the full staff render, mabye changing the colour or having 1 sliding down the actual staff handle, to pronounce it more?
Other then that man awesome job

thanks for the replies, IŽd take your advices and add some dirty to the wood, I re-renderer the 1 and 3 picture on first post. (just press control+f5 if you cant see it)
mathiu, good advice, but when I make the final image with the character, it will be a middle distance, so you can see the snakes :P
rikaro, 46k on viewport, and 131k at render time. The heaviest part is the multiple snakes area, 11k.
Ionized, Its an honor take a reply from you! IŽd vote for you avatar character on game cinematic character challenge, I hope to see more works from you. thanks for you comments
